Would give 5 stars!

Now called Maria Gulosa, fantastic spot! Great vegan options. We split a salad, avo toast, and wrap. Was perfect!

Pros: Los of vegan options, dessert too!

Updating my review - RECOMMEND!!!

We came here briefly a few days ago and then popped back for lunch today. So glad we did!!!! I had the vegan salad and some chips (see photos) and it was so fresh and yummy and well made. My partner had the veggie breakfast which was also great. Nice coffee too! Pop by, it’s well worth the walk out of the centre. Enjoy :)

Pros: Lots of vegan options 🌱 , Easy to order veggie - no hassle at all, DELICIOUS food!

Not recommended

The falafel was mainly made of flour, so not very high in protein. I ate only the falafel and fries, which I believe is a simple dish and it was very disappointed. I was very hungry and still didn’t finish it my food. It was tasteless and textureless. Not recommended. Very deteriorated and dirty menus, they stink like urine.

Pros: Bathrooms are clean

Cons: Food is tasteless , Stinky and dirty menus

Amazing falafel wrap

The cafe was very busy at lunch time and although we got a table immediately, the service was very slow and our food took a while to come out. There are a few vegan options on the menu, but many can also be made vegan. We both got the falafel wrap (without raita to make it vegan) and a bowl of fries to share.

Yes it took a while, but when it came out it was hot and fresh, the falafel was clearly freshly homemade and was delicious and the salad in the wrap was so nice!

The meal was the cheapest on we had on our whole trip, and also one of the tastiest.

We also got soya milk for the coffee.

Pros: falafel wrap A++++, large portions, amazing value

Cons: speed of service (but it was busy)

not for vegan breakfast

Very friendly staff, menu with vegan wraps and salad (they look delicious). But to get a vegan breakfast was rather difficult (although they have a lot of breakfast choices on the menu).

totally recommend!

Nice little Café with super friendly staff (also German speaking), free WIFI, fresh juices for little money, yummy vegan wraps, salads, even stir-fry with tofu.
We came here for breakfast. They have soy milk if you want coffee!!!
Perfect if you come with someone who's not vegetarian/vegan.

Pros: vegan options, friendly staff, Free wifi

Nice place for breakfast

We were accommodated in the neighborhood (3 minutes' walk) and this place is open from 9 am, so it was obvious choice for breakfast. I had vegan tortilla wrap with hummus which was fresh and tasty - can't find anything negative to say about it. They also have vegan salad but I haven't tried it - didn't want to pay €7.5 for breakfast. Fresh fruit smoothies are also nice - we tried few of them.

Pros: Open from 9 am, Staff can adjust meals to your needs, Nice environment, friendly staff

Cons: Little pricy for Lagos, Not too many vegan options, They don't publish their opening hours

fresh and friendly

Only visited for a drink but great to see the veggie and vegan labelling for food. It's a modern, clean and friendly establishment, good location for the bus 'station' and it has nice views of the surrounding residential area.

Pros: modern, veggie &vegan options

Cons: not 100% veggie

Nice Vegan Labelled Salad

Nice place, couldn't see the vegan burger or the tofu stir fry that other comments mentioned, but there was a stir fry with rice that sounds vegan and this delicious vegan salad. They could do with a few more vegan options to make this better but a good place none the less and much better option than all the old school cafes and restaurants selling seafood, omelette and not much else just down the road. Lovely design and all clean and modern too.

Modern Apartment Block Cafe

Nice and modern cafe at the bottom of a new apartment block development. A few metres away from the main bus station definitely a good place for a drink on arrival or before leaving Lagos. With a pretty al fresco seated area this place has a bit of class. There is a veggie burger on offer at €5.50 and tofu stir fries available in Thai, Indonesian or garlic and chilli at €7. Drinks are cheap as they are normally tend to be in Portugal. Personally, I'd just enjoy a drink or a light snack here and venture into one of the many veg friendly places further in town but if you're here for a few days I would certainly make the effort to hit a few brush strokes in here.

Pros: al freso area, modern, good prices

Cons: meat available

Tofu Stir Fry TDF!

They don't serve burger any more but the tofu stir fry was to die for! Big portion of fresh tasty vegetables, big tofu bites and awesome ginger/garlic sauce - nam! The international staff was very professional and helpful too, café atmosphere and well worth a visit even just for this course! (they serve falafel-wrap and good salad as well)
