Real meat on pizza - Edit
Ordered two vegan pizzas and one came out with real prosciutto and cheese (easy to see compared to the other pizza). We asked the waiter and he was nonchalant and said it just ‘looked’ real. We insisted again and went to the chef, who confirmed it was real meat. Replacement was provided but no offer of refund or sincere apology.

Very popular spot with vegan and gf options - Edit
The salad was great! They marinated their tofu to make a vegan take on the Greek feta salad. They had a few vegan items (ex 2 explicitly vegan pizzas) and were happy to veganise other menu items. If someone is gf in the group, they have lots of gf options too which is nice. Few seats in the front of you fancy people watching in the alley, and seating inside too.
Read moreFyi - there is spend minimum for the table and a seat charge - might throw a spanner if you’re dining alone for lunch.
Pros: Vegan options, Customisable , Great salad
Cons: Pizza was a bit dry, it wasn’t the biggest flav , Mad busy—get there early/reserve, See note about min. spend

After coming here and trying the pizza we knew we would come back. The flavours were fantastic and unable to fault the place! Only not 5 stars because happy cow won’t allow due to restrictions

So nice I ate there twice - Edit
Like other reviewers have said, Frankie and his wife are friendly, welcoming and serve incredible vegan options. I had the purple potato pizza and vegan Greek salad. The pizza was perfect and the salad could have used some acid but was otherwise good. They also have signature beers they brew which my fellow diners enjoyed. The experience was so great we came back a second time for take out on our last night in Sorrento. I wouldn't recommended the vegan cutlets (at least not for takeout as they were dry) but the gnocchi is incredible!

Good pizza - Edit
Ordered both vegan pizzas and they were good quality albeit with a few strange ingredients but I’m always willing to try something new. We also ordered the cheesecake and it was on the smaller side but very rich. I would definitely recommend making it a point to eat here as they have good vegan dinner and dessert options.

Amazing options and friendly staff - Edit
I had heard lots about Frankie’s before I visited Sorrento so it was on my list! They had lots of vegan options in here from pasta and pizza, to paninis and deserts. I think this was one of the only places in the area to offer vegan deserts that wasn’t sorbet! The staff in here are so lovely and knowledgable on veganism too - I went for the violife, tomato and basil gnocchi and it was delicious, tasted just like burrata 😍 would have definitely visited again if I had stayed longer - please note that it can get really busy here and the business is closed on Tuesdays for rest day, I don’t think Google has been updated!

Lots of vegan options! - Edit
The queue was long, but fast moving and we were seated within 10 minutes or so.
Read moreI had the walnut pesto and mushroom gnocchi which was a touch on the oily side but the gnocchi was perfectly cooked. I would definitely return for a pizza if I had time whilst I was in Sorrento!
My only disappointment was that they’d run out of vegan crème brûlée (which was one of my fave desserts when I was omni). I would definitely recommend if you want a good selection of vegan options.
Pros: Good price , Friendly staff, Lots of vegan options
Cons: Can’t prebook so have to queue, The toilet could do with a renovation

One of the best vegan options in Sorrento - Edit
Went here multiple times, the pizza is great!
Read moreGood cheap local wine!
Friendly service, easy to communicate in English.
The hidden gem for us was the vegan chocolate hazelnut cheesecake, amazing!
Very popular place, loud and cramped inside but a great place to get some vegan food!
Not sure why I can't give this place 5 stars, since this is one of the only places in sorrento with dedicated clearly labeled vegan options.

Nice place with quite a lot of vegan options on the menu. You can change the cheese to vegan cheese and get vegan ham etc. Great service. We did order two pizzas and both were great.

Great lunch - Edit
Frankie’s had many vegan options that were clearly labeled. My daughter and I had gnocchi (two different kinds) and my husband veganized vegetable focaccia. We sat upstairs in the air conditioning, which was a welcome break from the heat. Nice little place to eat while you’re wandering around Sorrento.

Very tasty vegan cheesecake! - Edit
We went here twice whilst staying in Sorrento.
Read moreWe had the vegan pizza which was very tasty as was the vegan Cheesecake.
Frankie seems like a very friendly guy. I read an earlier review mentioning 'strange vibes' and I kind of understand what was meant as we felt the same.
All in all though, definitely worth a visit as many vegan options which Sorrento as a whole lacks compared to the bigger cities.

Clearly labeled, good vegan options - Edit
Vegan options were clearly labeled in their own 3 sections. The sections were "vegan pizzas", "vegan plates" and "vegan desserts". Vegan pizzas had 2 options, both featuring Violife cheese. Vegan plates had several options, as did the desserts.
Read moreWe got 2 of the vegan gnocchi options from the "Vegan Plates" section and both were very good.
Biggest downside at the restaurant was how small/cramped the upstairs dining area was. Most cramped into a restaurant I've ever been.

Good! - Edit
Vegan options were clearly labelled and they didn't skimp on them, like they use vegan cheeses and fake meats etc. I think it was a little pricey for the portion sizes (perhaps takeaway stuff is smaller but I did think €12 for a salad was a bit much) but the food's quality was lovely. The gnocchi was great and the burger was excellent!

Frozen food and weird vibes - Edit
Had mixed feelings about this place. The owner sat us down and immediately explained the “rules” of the restaurant. No personal drinks at the table, 1.50 euro fee per person who sits down or 6 euros to sit outdoors and then when we ordered he seemed to be very negative about the food explaining most things besides pizza was frozen and not great.
Read moreSo, weird experience to start off with but the pizza tastes pretty good! The gnocchi was chewy so I wouldn’t recommend that option.
Sorrento does not have too many vegan options so this was one of the only places. Not bad but I was not crazy about it.

Good vegan pizza - Edit
I am giving 4 stars because they have a lot of vegan dishes on the menu including breakfast and desserts. I was eating pizza it was good with vegan cheese violife which is not the tastiest but I appreciate them for giving the clients vegan pizza with the cheese not just like dough and tomato sauce. Also they have coffee with soy milk.

Excellent! Lots of Vegan options ! - Edit
Lots of options - pizzas, gnochhi, burger, salads and about 6 different puddings! Really nice relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. We sat outside and people watched. Burger was delish and fresh, pizza was excellent - lots of flavour and freshly made. Hazelnut cheese cake was very good too. Highly recommend. Clearly lots of effort has gone into the vegan menu.
