Tastiest fruit & vegetables!

Stayed a few days in Gothenburg and came here everyday. Fruit and vegetables and so superior to the regular non organic grocery stores you don’t want to go anywhere else once you’ve been here 😇 Great assortment, lots of well priced zero waste stuff and nice staff. Highly recommend! 💚

Pros: Organic , Sustainable

Cons: Not vegan

Fantastic co-op

Now that even former favourite Bara Bra Mat has succumbed to the cashless craze, Fram is sure to become my go-to place when in Gothenburg. While (sadly) not entirely vegan, their range is absolutely amazing, both in terms of fresh produce, bulk.. Sometimes you can even find two different sorts of the same item, for example European and Chinese pumpkin seeds, etc. Prices are definitely competitive. Staff are great, last time round they even allowed me to leave my luggage on the premises for a few hours, so that I could freely roam in their fair city before heading back to Stockholm. Fram used to have one more location, but it's fair to say this one alone could well meet your every wish.

Lovely place

Nice store! Sells animal products but has a huge selection of organic veggie products, including unpacked seeds, grains, nuts, dried fruit and pulses. Fresh and frozen vegetables, cleaning products, toiletries, snacks, coffee and more. I even got a nice discount because I didn't travel to the store by car 😃

Pros: Cooperative association, profits invested in store, All organic, a lot is locally sourced, Reasonable prices

Great store

A great store with a lot of vegan foods, ‘dairy’, meat substitutes fulfilled with a fresh, organic fruit isle, nuts and seeds (price by weight) etc.
Prices not too bad, some things are cheaper than in regular stores and some things are more expensive (since it’s all organic)
They’re also the only store in Gothenburg where I’ve seen the most kombucha and alternative foods that are harder to find.

Would recommend!

Lovely store with friendly staff

I love this store, they are always friendly and helpful and lets you bring your own jars and containers to buy bulk food. Organic food and a nice variety of both local and imported brands.

Pros: Many vegan options, Sales on food that’s about to go bad, Bulk food in your own container

Cons: They sell meat and dairy

Good quality food and large assortment

They offer an extensive assortment ranging from fresh organic vegetables and fruits to all types of meat substitutes and vegan beauty products (shampoo, deodorants, creams, toothpaste ...). Also food in bulk was available (lentils, beans, nuts, dried fruits ...), which allowed you to bring your own jars and fill them up. Very friendly and obliging people.
Rather expensive

Best fresh fruit and vegetables in the city

There is no better place than Fram to get the best quality organic fruit and vegetables with an environmental focus. They focus on seasonal, so everything tastes like it should. They also have the best selection of organic vegan food in the city, and lots of eco-friendly cleaning and health care products, bulk teas, etc. One star minus for selling meat and dairy products. Would be great if they started delivering to cafés, restaurants and the like in the city as there is no other fruit and vegetable wholesaler that has as good a selection or quality products.

Pros: Great all-organic fruit and veggies, Good prices, Workers cooperative

Cons: Sells meat and dairy

YES! YES! YES!

I love this shop. It is the cheapest place for organic foods in town. Also you skip packaging as you can by nuts, grains and similar per kilo. Stuff is friendly! They also have discount if you buy for more then 500kr (I believe it was) and if you have come by walking, bike or public transport! Choose FRAM always if you need to buy organic food and othe products.

Pros: cheapest organic food in town, friendly stuff, buy per kilo

Cons: small space

Bulk-buy heaven

Fram is somewhere to go to stock-up! You can fill paper bags of rice, dried beans, chick-peas, banana chips, figs......etc etc, as well as get high-quality fresh vegetables and other vegan foodstuffs such as stock, pate, cereals, tofu, "cheese" and chocolate. They also stock a good choice of organic shampoos, soaps and toothpastes, and are particularly good for biodegradeable nappies and feminine hygiene products.

Pros: well-stocked, friendly

Cons: opening hours

Cons: small, few open hours, meat prducts

Friendly

It has a good selection of grains and organic food. Not much vegan processed type food, but has some.

Recommend you go for bulk shopping, as they give a 10% discount if your bill is more than 600 kr as long as you are also only using public transport to get the shopping home. My shopping was a bit less than that and the person at the till said if I wanted to get the discount she was happy to wait as I chose other things and serve others in the meantime. I ended up getting more stuff to try and it costing less than originally!

Pros: Friendly, discount for public transport users

Cons: Too much non-vegan stuff in fridges

The place to buy organic staple foods

Fram is a cooperative and it shows in the atmosphere. I like a store run "by the people for the people."

I like Fram for the reasonably priced staple foods. I buy my rice there. Most of the grains come in large bags (25-50kg?); one can take exactly as much as needed, either in the small paper bags provided or in their own containers. This approach helps to lower the price of the food and curtain the waste of packaging. Furthermore, most of the foods in the big bags are fair trade.

Pros: Staple foods, Cosmetics
