One o the best restaurants ever.

It's the kind o place you go for meal inspiration. Very kind people, I've seen them giving food to the homeless. Just incredibly intelligent funny people, naturally very entertaining.

Pros: This is art. , Amazing food., Beautiful decorations.

Every dish was well thought through and had so much heart. From locally foraged to grown on their own allotment every ingredient had its own special story. Super tasty and already can’t wait to go back #Veganuary

EXCEPTIONAL Vegan Fine Dining!!

As they were running a generous 20% off Veganuary offer, I FINALLY visited Foxglove last night after years or drooling over their dishes on social media. They were on the first day of a new menu during our visit, and I was honestly a little in awe of the depth of knowledge and integrity of food sourcing present in this place. The things that are being done with plants here really emphasize what a rudimentary level my cooking is at, and my mind was truly blown.

So. Some essential information for future visitors. The restaurant is small and booking is therefore advised. They have a very active social media presence, which I urge you to seek out as they post information on new dishes and upcoming events. Bookings can be made on their easy to use website where a deposit will also be taken, and even more information on future events can be found there. Foxglove is (obviously) entirely vegan, and ideally, no animal products should be worn to the restaurant. A large amount of the ingredients they use are ones they have forged for and fermented themselves, but they also use trusted suppliers with a particular emphasis on organic and seasonal Welsh produce. The menu is five courses and ever-changing, so I'd recommend calling ahead for information on this if you have any allergies.

Now, onto the good stuff. The reviews are not lying. The food here is on another level. Everything looked amazing, details of each ingredient were provided to us, the thought and care behind the dishes could be seen on every plate, and the flavours were spectacular. You know you're enjoying what you're eating when you consciously slow down just to make the dish last longer and savour that flavour!

After the first course, I was internally kicking myself for waiting so long to eat here and privately grieved all the food I've missed out on. I will let the pictures speak for themselves, but if you're in North Wales (I live over an hour from Foxglove), I PROMISE you this restaurant is worth the trip. I'm also sure the non-vegans in your life will also love the incredible food here. I am going to be returning for their Italian Week in May, but it I can't hold out that long they also have a Japanese week in March and some small events in April. This is my new favourite restaurant and it will probably be yours too! 🌱😍 #Veganuary

Pros: Amazing Food, Good Wine, Organic, Eco-Conscious , Ethical Vegans, Lovely Owners

10/10 every single time.

Where do I even begin with this place?

I first dined at this incredible establishment in 2022 for my birthday and since then it has been every 2-3 months. It always feels really special, you can feel the love that goes into every dish. I proposed to my now wife here and have some great memories here, it’s more than just food.

2 years later I’ve just spent another birthday here and have just experienced my “death row” dinner.
Porcini, fermented cauliflower, porcini mochi with white sesame, black truffle, truffle seaweed, salty fingers, porcini and black truffle dashi
I’m a big eater and the 5 course taster menu leaves me very satisfied.

Antonella and Luke always go the extra mile with events and themed dining nights, the wine is always fantastic.

I love supporting this restaurant.

Pros: Dog friendly and I mean FRIENDLY , Reasonably priced , Variety

Cons: It’s so far away from where I live

Fabulous little restaurant serving delicious, innovative, exciting and beautiful dishes using many ingredients either grown locally or foraged with a lot of pickled or fermented additions. The owners clearly have a passion for food - it's definitely worth travelling to for a treat 🤤

Pros: Quality, Originality, Delicious

Cons: That I can't afford to go more often!

Simply stunning!

My family had the most wonderful evening here last night. This was without doubt the most delicious and interesting meal I have ever eaten. Five course tasting menu and every dish was great. Come along if you want to try ingredients you’ve never had before! The owner was so welcoming and friendly - we loved learning about some of the foraged ingredients. Also loved having a good range of non-alcoholic drinks to choose from - they had Mash Gang non-alcoholic beers. It was excellent value for money too. I only wish we lived nearer!

Spectacular vegan dining experience

Organic seasonal and foraged ingredients presented in innovative and beautiful dishes of food in a 5 course tasting menu. Knowledgeable and welcoming host Antonella makes the experience a delight. Visited with non vegan friends and we were all blown away with this delightful dining experience. Note this is a small bespoke restaurant in Barmouth advance booking only.

Each dish is explained in detail and beautifully presented.

Best meal ever

I cannot explain how amazing my experience at the Foxglove was. This unassuming small and cozy restaurant is run by the lovely owners, Antonella and Luke. They forage and create an amazing 5-course tasting menu that changes weekly. Each course came out looking beautiful and so interesting and Antonella explained what each component was. I was fascinated and so impressed by the details. I have never had anything quite like it, and in an age of faux meat, the ingredients did all the talking. Luke, the chef, was so humble in his creations. He worked in a Michelin-starred restaurant, and this showed by the standard of food. It was a fine dining meal but with the ambiance of eating at your friend's house. As a vegan of 5 years, this was one of the best meals I have ever had. Everything, for me, was perfect, and I am very grateful to have found this restaurant. I am just so sad that I live five hours away, but I will definitely come back again.

Pros: Sustainable , Dog friendly , Owners

Beautiful fine dining

Beautiful food in a cosy friendly atmosphere. The portion sizes are small but there are five courses! Even so, I could have done with a bit of bread to supplement my dinner. I've been to 5 fine dining restaurants in my life, three of which were Michelin starred. This was far and away my best experience.

Pros: The food , The wine, The ambience!

Cons: Bread with the meal would have been nice

Each course included a mixture of foraged or local ingredients which where put together in such a creative way. Each dish is perfectly thought out, well balanced and tasted sensational.

The relaxed and cosy atmosphere makes it feel comfortable and welcoming. Our two spaniels were given lots of love and treats!

The price was incredible value for money for such a fine dining experience. Michelin star worthy food!

You have to come here!

Ah where to even start?! Took my boyfriend for his birthday and we have NEVER experienced anything like this place! Antonella welcomed us (and our dog) with so much warmth, she’s an incredible and passionate human. The food is out of this world!! Every single dish was incredible and the service was amazing. We had to come back and we did, this time for Pablos (our dog) birthday we didn’t think it would be possible but we had an EVEN better time. The food is just insane! The attention to detail in every single plate. We already can’t wait to come back and now we want to move to Barmouth. What great people and insanely good food ❤️ thank you for existing 💫

Pros: All good is vegan and lovingly prepared , Value for money and service is amazing, Its so unique + the people are amazing.
