Fox & Hounds - Edit
Popped in on the recommendation of the Vegan Renfrewshire fb group, since we were after a pub lunch that was veeg/ dog / family friendly. It ticked all the boxes - loads of vegan options, the pup was very welcome and there’s a kids menu too. I got the potato skins with chilli non carne, it’s starter but I ordered the large as a main. The regular portion would’ve probably been fine - it was huge! Saving room for the vegan treacle tart was a good decision, it was obscenely good, and really nice to to have something other than sorbet available. The people were really friendly and the service was good. Overall a really pleasant experience, I’d definitely go back.

Excellent quality of vegan food - Edit
I would give this restaurant/pub 5⭐️ if the app allowed!
Read moreTheir food is fabulous! The vegan BLT is absolutely delicious! Their menu is continually changing with new vegan options being added. I have never been let down with what I have had to eat, with plenty of choices/variety to satisfy whatever I’m in the mood for. The staff are amazing, friendly and very accommodating, and a few who are vegan themselves!
It’s my go to place for homely fulfilling food!
There’s plenty on offer to quench your thirst, and the staff know a thing or two about spirits and cocktails!
You are always treated like a local!
Pros: Variety of vegan and vegetarian food options , Reasonable and delicious. , Plenty of parking.
Cons: May need to book at busy periods.

Fantastic vegan and vegetarian options - Edit
I think this is one of my favorite food places in the area. They have a lot of items on the menu that come with vegan or vegetarian options, including breakfast and delicious coffee. They are adding vegan meals to their menu constantly and, though it isn't listed on the menu just yet, they have a Korean vegan chicken that is mouth watering good. I recommend it to any vegan in the area.

Poor food, poor service - Edit
We visited with two vegans and five omnis. Our vegan meals were the tofu burger and curry. The tofu burger was greasy and definitely not tofu. The chips were pre-frozen and not fully cooked. Not only that, chips were not listed with the burger so we ordered a side portion and were not told the burger had them. The curry had one piece of courgette, two pieces of cauliflower and the rest was peppers. The curry tasted overwhelmingly like peppers and I couldn’t eat it. The rice was so salty I couldn’t eat it. The flatbread was nice but there was no poppadoms and spicy onions as promised. I had the brownie and ice cream and it had dairy caramel sauce on it and I could eat it.
Read moreThe Omni meals weren’t much better. My mum’s pineapple dessert was tinned pineapple on some mouse. Her starter was burnt and her main was drenched in gravy when it should have been whisky sauce. My sister’s main was essentially raw and was so chewy she could barely eat it.
The staff were very slow (my sister had to ask for a wine list three times). We didn’t get food until an hour after we sat down.
Pros: A good selection of alocohol
Cons: Poor vegan food and Omni food, Poor service
