Beautiful food - Edit
Having never tried Tibetan food before me and my partner decided to give this place a try and we weren’t disappointed. For starter we had the bhaley which is a chilli hummus with fried bread. The hummus was the best hummus we have ever eaten and paired with the bread it was so delicious. We had the vegan chefs special for main which was a lentil curry, chickpea curry, momos, rice and chilli sauce. It was so nice we ate every mouthful and the size is deceiving it looks like it won’t fill you up but it really does. The only negative is the chickpea curry was swimming in oil but it was still amazing. We also had the vegan noodles which were the best noodles we’ve ever had. The service was good and the place was a lovely small place. In the entrance they have a selection of traditional Tibetan toys which were cute and some children’s books. We will definitely be visiting again.

Four Friends - Edit
This place has been on my radar to visit for a while now but never found an excuse to go, tibetan food sounds interesting and a friend who'd been rated it very highly. Finally got to visit and I was blown away.
Read moreIts only a really small place, but the size and the decor gives a very intimate feel, like you're eating at someone's house. The staff clearly understand what being vegan is, and most of the menu items are vegan or can be made vegan.
I had the bhaley starter, which is a soft fried bread with a similar consistency to a naan (but softer). It came with a chilli hummus which was really nice, spicy but not super spicy.
For my main I had the vegan thali which is a kind of sample of several dishes. The chick pea curry reminded me of tadka dhal, but with a slightly richer taste. Not particularly spicy but with plenty of flavour
The potato curry was like a spiced mushed potato, still really nice but not something I would want for a main.
The momos were delicious! The case was thick with a bit of chew (but not chewy) and filled with I think it was tofu and spinach. Everything in there was well packed, so you could dip it twice without anything falling out.
The chilli dip was the spiciest part of the meal, would recommend not using much of it at a time depending on your tolerance.
The rice was just rice. Despite its pinkish colour I couldn't taste anything different about it.
Overall I'm very impressed with Four Friends and eager to come back. Would give this place five stars if I could. Entire meal came to £17 as of September 2022, which I think is very reasonable for what I got.
Pros: Lots of vegan options, Very reasonably priced
Cons: Not all vegan

Delicious, homemade Tibetan food - Edit
Lots of vegan lunch/dinner options across the menu, including dumplings with tofu, thali with chickpea curry and dal, noodle soup, steamed and fried breads... Beautiful, cosy decor with Tibetan books and furnishings. Well worth a visit if you're in the area, or it's easy from London for a daytrip or countryside break. Quite unique as authentic Tibetan food is hard to come by!
