Small cafeteria-style lunch spot in the Sion neighborhood. Run by the same family as Nascente um Gosto de Sol, with a similar cooking style. Uses dairy in many dishes but always has vegan options. Also sells some vegan snacks and take-away items. Note that the space is a stall inside of a large municipal market, located almost directly inside the front entrance. Open Mon-Sat 11:00am-4:00pm.

O Formoso é um restaurante familiar no Mercado Distrital do Cruzeiro, que por si só já é um ambiente agradável e que faz parte da cultura local. A comida é bem servida, gostosa, bem feita e com apresentação simples, mas bem cuidada. Os preços são bem justos e também tem congelados pra você levar pra cada. Os pratos veganos são todos deliciosos e tem o prato do dia, que as vezes é vegan, as vezes ovalacto. Mas recomendo para um almoço agradável😄

A bit outside of the city center, in a hilly area. It's easy to pass by here, the restaurant is inside of a large structure containing several vendors. The design is modern and comfortable, specials are written up on the chalkboard. They were nice enough to save something for me when I called and told them I was arriving late, but note that they do start shutting down around 3 p.m. when lunch is over.
