Friendly, welcoming space, a bit pricey

Having got to know the owner a bit, we've really enjoyed coming here. The atmosphere is inviting , you can set up your laptop or play a game. Very cool!

We usually get matcha / black tea bubble teas or my personal favourite: black sesame (kinda tastes like a peanut butter milkshake). Hibiscus is also a favourite in the summer!

I like that they can do the drinks warm too! Warm bubble tea with tapioca pearls is really comforting in the fall!

However, since I've been low-sugar, low-fat for the past few months, we've been trying their fruit smoothies, as they can be made without added sugar and a lot of the other ones they still have to put a small amount of liquid sweetener in to blend them. We've been a little disappointed with them, pineapple-strawberry and mixed berry taste pretty bland, tastes more like almond milk than fruit, and at the price, just not worth it.

They do have a lot of vegan baked goods, which is great. We've tried the earl grey loaf and the carrot cake. Both were okay, but pretty dry, in lots of wasteful packaging, and quite expensive for what you get.
Recently, we tried the vegan steamed buns. I was really disappointed in these. They were clearly from frozen and microwaved and as such, really really dried out and tasted awful. I couldn't believe they charged $9 for two steamed buns from a frozen package. I could get the same (and not overcook them) at superstore for a quarter of the price.

Pros: quiet, cozy environment , super friendly staff , can get almond milk not just soy like other places

Cons: expensive

Okay tea

Got the original milk tea with almond milk, and I really didn’t enjoy it as much as other places. For as much as I paid I would’ve expected a bit better, but it wasn’t awful.

Pros: Big selection of teas and coffee, Cool glass straws for sale

Cons: Expensive

Smoothies

Their smoothies are nice. The Oreo one tastes like the funky monkey from booster, and the watermelon smoothie is very refreshing. Can't wait to try the others.

Pros: Has jenga
