Great place - Edit
We came here for lunch and had a hard time deciding between all of the available vegan options. We ended up getting a mixed salad bowl (with three options from the salad bar & some focaccia), a sandwich with some avocado bacon and a cinnamon bun. It was all really delicious and filling. We loved the bun so much we got some more later that day from the beach hut location

Ampissima scelta di colazioni vegane dolci e salate. Dal semplice cinnamon roll (favoloso) alla colazione inglese con funghi, pomodori, hashbronw, toast, ecc...

Perfect breakfast menu - Edit
We were passing through Aberdeen twice so hoped to visit for both dinner and breakfast, but they weren’t running a dinner service when we visited unfortunately. Our return for breakfast was great! We shared the pancakes and porridge, but would’ve happily ordered anything on the menu.

A great selection of sweet and savoury food good coffee. They also sell vegan-y groceries and organise community events. I nice place to hang out, a little pricey but you get a generous portion.

Great find in Aberdeen! - Edit
Foodstory's menu is pretty much all either vegan or can be made vegan. Think: pancakes, porridge, mushroom / mashed pea toasts, burritos, breakfast plates, rolls, salad bowls... All in a cool wood and industrial copper piping decor. They also have a little outdoor area for those warmer days!

We liked the place so much that we went there again for breakfast on our way back from the Orkneys. This time I had the breakfast burrito. It was tasty and filling, served with a fresh side salad.

Lots of choice, fresh food - Edit
Lovely menu, not very big menu but the quality is excellent. This is a vegetarian place so they serve eggs and dairy milk but no meat. No surcharge for vegan milks. Very much seems like a vegan place first and foremost with vegetarian options.
Read moreI had the sweet toast which tbh was a bit too sweet for me but was very nice. My brother had the all things toast vegetarian, where it is served with poached eggs but the vegan one is with tofu scramble. All looked fresh and good quality. Can’t wait to return!

Perfect for breakfast & lunch - Edit
The vegan BLT focaccia with kimchi is probably one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life — so much taste! The pesto sourdough is also great. They took a bit long with my order, so they gave me a free cinnamon bun (so good it makes you wonder why anyone would ever make a non-vegan one).
Read moreI loved the food & atmosphere so much I came back a few days later and then had the breakfast burrito (a little too salty for my liking but still very very tasty).
The only improvement would be to have a menu on every table, so yoy can have a think about what you want before turning up to the counter to order. The menu does very clearly outline which dishes are veggie or vegan.
Bottom line: when in Aberdeen, this is where you want to go!
Pros: Amazing, tasty food, Nice atmosphere, Many vegan options
Cons: Lack of menu’s on the tables

Tasty food in a great space. - Edit
Large space. Although I wasn’t fussed with anything on the menu when I went up to the counter to order a drink I saw aubergine blt on focaccia and just had to have it. It was so tasty and oh so filling. The hot chocolate made with oat milk was lovely too.

Tasty food with lots of vegan options - Edit
I came here today for lunch and very much enjoyed the toastie with a side salad. I also had a piece of cake as all the cakes were vegan and that was very good too. Nice to go somewhere with some more healthy options for a change! It’s a bit on the pricey side but worth it for an occasional treat.

Favourite Breakfast in Aberdeen - Edit
Relaxing atmosphere, great coffee and food. Visiting for breakfast is one of my favourite things to do for the plant based french toast. The fruit compote, toasted sourdough and caramelised pecans topped with oat cream is just sensational!

Do not miss the chance to eat here! - Edit
Foodstory is truly a fabulous place. If you are in Aberdeen - don't miss the chance to eat here! The food is incredible, from the fabulous salads to the show stopping vegan lasagne to the range of vegan cakes that are all sensational - it's simply a great joy and a treat to visit and eat. Its a lovely space too, really relaxed and welcoming. There is also a super wholefoods shop upstairs too, and the staff are so helpful. A gem of a place in Aberdeen town centre! It does get very busy at lunchtimes too, so try to get there early if you are planning a visit around that time to make sure you don't miss the last slice of something delicious : )

Great brunch and the best matcha latte - Edit
Visited Foodstory while on holiday in Aberdeen, twice. The 'Everything toast' and 'Foccacia breakfast bun' were both delicious. I wish I could have access to such delicious food where I live. Especially the coconut matcha latte, truly one of the best I've ever had!

We need a place like this in Scarborough! - Edit
We walked up Union Street to Food Story for breakfast. It’s the kind of place Scarborough (where we live) needs: a veggie café with a store selling organic produce, with a low-key funky vibe. Nick Drake was on the sound system. 10/10.

I hate to give a bad review but we were disappointed with our visit in April for my birthday. My partner had called to ask if he could book a table but was told there was no need to book, just turn up. When we arrived there were no tables available. We got a couple of benches in the window (slightly annoying to find single people hogging large tables for 4 while they nurse a coffee & sit on their laptops.) We ordered the Mexican buddha bowl & the tofu mac n cheese. The waitress returned to say there would be a wait for the buddha bowl as the rice cooker wasn’t working. We waited over half an hour & still no sign of any food. The mac n cheese was stone cold so we asked for it to be re-heated. Another lukewarm portion arrived 10 mins later but this time we didn’t feel we could say anything so just ate it. Coffee & cakes saved the day but my partner says he won’t be returning.

The food there is wow! Light food with a Mexican kind of theme with their food options. And the cakes are also amazing as well. What I had was the Mexican Buddha bowl for meal and cakes were the Twix bar and Peanut Butter Energy Balls.

Expensive and ordinary. - Edit
A lovely little cafe that has good veggie and vegan options. However, food is quite expensive (£12 for a vegan fully loaded toast - toast, avo and peas, tofu, aubergine bacon, mushrooms, hash browns and beans).

Another great place for vegans in Aberdeen - Edit
They offer lots of options for vegan food. There are a few vegetarian options but most of the food is vegan and the staff can help you out. I had a spicy blt sandwich and it was really tasty. The salads were really good too. They have really nice coffee and sweet treats, would recommend the peanut butter crunch.

Was in Aberdeen overnight due to work and found this place! It's a cosy café with many vegan options. The chilli bowl was really nice. They also had cakes which were all vegan (and the one I had was delicious!). I would recommend it for sure and would happily be back when in Aberdeen again.
