Lovely spot yum food - Edit
Had the burrito and it was yummy but some scrambled tofu in it would take it to the next level.

Beautiful jungle hideout - Edit
Lovely atmosphere! I got the burrito and I have to admit it’s one of the healthy ones, which is fine, but just keep that in mind. I didn’t find it super filling, but then again I am a woman that is active and likes to eat a lot. I reckon I’ll go back here for a coffee and read a book, as I see this as a very relaxing and good-for-lounging atmosphere and the full meals tend to get expensive. It does get busy some mornings though. You’ll have to park in the road even on non busy days as they share their parking with the holiday park.

It's all about the Vibe - Edit
A lovely outdoor garden setting and rustic indoor aesthetic make the vibe at Folk.
Read moreVegan, veg and GF options are clearly marked in the menu.
I had a chai tea and vegan Banana bread. Both were visually appealing, but flavours and texture was somewhat lacking.
Still a cute little place, even just for the atmosphere and instagram-able food and drinks.

Decent café, using organic bread - Edit
The food is decent, and importantly, they use organic bread and eggs.
Read moreA bit too hipster/ instagrammable- uncomfortable seats, milk crates, flowers in drinks.
For some reason it takes longer for them to make a coffee than it does to make food, even when its really quiet
Pros: Organic bread and eggs
Cons: Expensive coffee, Uncomfortable seats

Good - Edit
Cute little café with a relaxed atmosphere. The food was good (had the avo smash, which was great, and the dandelion chai which wasn’t really my thing), but also pretty expensive.

Good food - Edit
The food is good, albeit expensive. A bit weird that they say on the menu that they are “plant based,” but serve cheese and milk. I didn’t know that exploited cows were considered plants.

Lots of choices for brekky and lunch as a WFPB eater, but food also appealing to non vegan hubby.

What The Folk?! - Edit
Nice breakfast/brunch spot that has really nice decor and seating, it's tucked away so there isn't too much noise.
Read moreThe food seems to aim to be healthy, fresh and wholesome and it definitely delivers on that. The drinks were also very tasty and coffee was great.
I think the dishes could be priced a bit better as there was a lot of leafy green fillers on the plate.
Overall it's not a bad experience

Great local vego joint - Edit
Always a treat to eat there. The banana bread is tip top! Maybe trying a bit too hard with making food look trendy. Some of the serving sizes can be a bit on the small side too. But it’s an experience and all the dishes are super tasty.

If you give everything 5 cows, even when you note issues at the place makes your reviews meaningless.

Yummy lunch options. - Edit
I had a nice grain bowl with roasted pumpkin. There were a couple of vegan lunch options on the menu, including a so a noodle salad. Nice coffee with a blended almond/oat milk. They also had vegan deserts but I didn’t try one. Nice chilled setting with an outdoor area.

Everything was good but nothing exceptional - Edit
I ordered the avo on sourdough, the avo was nice with citrus but the bread was difficult to cut and in general just average. I ordered house sour kraut which coat $3 for a tiny cup full.
Read moreMy girlfriend ordered the soba noodle salad which was tastey, but nothing special.
Overall the mains were nice, acceptable portion sizes, presentation is good, but I wasn't blown away by the flavours or the taste, and I didn't feel they were worth the price.
Vegan banana bread was nice though. It comes with a creamy margarine.
We also shared a banana, peanut butter, cocoa, and maple syrup smoothie which was alright, again nothing special. I wouldn't buy it again.
For the price, arguably not worth it. I won't be going back.
I didn't try the borrito but I saw a few people had ordered that and it looked better than what we ordered.
I will say the cafe is a peaceful space, the staff are more than happy to help. I also really like there commitment to using organic food and the fact that they make so much of thier foods from scratch in-house.
It also closes at 2:30pm so you have to get there early.

best cafe in byron - Edit
I come here every time I'm in Byron (pretty frequently) and it never fails to disappoint. Easily the best coffee & food in Byron, and the best service / staff, even now that its often so busy. They use Dukes coffee, and its just as good as in Melbourne.
Read moreNice location outside of the main area of town, relaxed and surrounded by kitchen gardens.
Considerably cheaper than other Byron venues, despite the fact the menu is organic. Super creative atmosphere, the attention to detail is pretty phenomenal.
The majority of the menu is vegan and what isn't can be easily adjusted to be vegan.
All animal products used (eggs & dairy) come from local organic small scale producers. Other cafes say they do this but honestly I've never seen a follow through.
No extra charge for their in house nut milks which are the best I've tasted.
Almond/cashew latte - amaze ! The vegan burrito, ugh, incredible. Wish there was a Folk in Sydney. And everywhere else for that matter.
Pros: perfect coffee, incredible veg & vegan food, inspiring atmosphere
Cons: popular - but what can you do, good for them., random location, but in many ways thats also a pro
