An all-vegan restaurant serves several kinds of burgers and has a lunch special menu. Can cater for larger groups where you choose the main dishes. Serves vegan soft drinks and some unique alcoholic options as well. Open Tue-Sat 11:00am-9:00pm. Closed Mon. Lunch specials until 3:00 pm. Reservations required for Sunday evening.

Lovely restaurant, with kind staff. The burgers were delicious - quite small but it was filling. Tofu nuggets were amazing! And we had the brownie and scone for pudding! 10/10!

Read moreI was a bit intimidated at first that the menu appears very soy-heavy, but the burger patty is light and fresh, similar to a Gardenburger in the U.S., only way better. Loved the Teryiyaki Burger, especially the bun! Also the portion was huge, served with a salad and two sides. The salad dressing was light and flavorful, the potatoes for the fries were fresh not frozen (and lovely light seasoning). However my favorite were the tofu nuggets. Have never had anything like them and they tasted great.
Loved the reggae music!
So grateful for this restaurant!

Very nice place in Kofu. The salads and bowls are big enough for a proper meal and have plenty of protein. The quality of the food is excellent and the staff is friendly. There is an English menu available by scanning a QR-code (https://www.fluunt.net/english-lunch).

We had a great experience at Fluunt in Kofu! We dined here on several occasions and all of our meals were delicious. We will be back during our next trip!

Friendly staff and by far the best atmosphere I've seen at a vegan cafe in Japan. I enjoyed my meals - had to come here again! I had the cheeseburger the first time which had a nutty cheese taste and a good patty. Then had their original which was pretty much the cheeseburger without the cheese. Both burgers were kind of like eating a pasta burger. The tomato sauce used was what you mostly tasted hence the pasta taste.

The staff there gave me free tea which was so nice of them. I bought four of their instant ramen packets that they sell which was at a good price (about 200 yen). Helps if you're in an area without vegan options.

Vegan menu with mostly burgers for lunch, dinner menu offers some pasta dishes. I had a creamy mushroom pasta dish for dinner which was filling and delicious, owners were super friendly and even gave us some organic madarines from their garden.

Vegan Karaage - Edit
They have a variety of vegan burgers including those in Japanese style. We had two burgers (cheeseburger and forgot the other one), two side dishes (vegan nugget and karaage), and two desserts. Everything was delicious but the vegan karaage was outstanding. So good that we made one additional order to take away. If you happen to be in Yamanashi, you must visit Fluunt.

In smaller towns, vegetarian restaurants are always harder to find than in big towns. So when I found out that Fluunt vegan restaurant was practically next to my hotel, I was delighted.
Read moreWhile finding places in Tokyo may require long searches and finding restaurants in obscure places, Fluunt Kofu is conveniently located in a big street in the shopping area. It's very close to the Dormy Inn hotel, next to a café with live music and opposite a parking lot. Easy to find, convenient to park a car.
The restaurant is clean, welcoming and feels warm thanks to extensive use of wood. Yet, it doesn't have the alternative "hippie" atmosphere found in many other vegan restaurants.
And... the menu is both in Japanese and English. It lists many burgers, but also more healthy dishes. When I was there, the owner excused himself because most of the menu was sold out for the day. Therefore the selection was limited and I ordered the gluten burger he recommended.
The gluten burger isn't much special and doesn't come with any extras (like a salad on the side). But since most was sold out, I was ever so happy to be served at all. The burger was well made with good ingredients. It wasn't oily, over done or anything. Simple, yet well executed. In fact, so good that I recommend everyone to try Fluunt when in Kofu (or passing on the way to Nagano?)
Fluunt also sells products. The next day I ate the instant vegan curry which was fine.
