This cafe (upstairs) had nothing vegan on their menu. Am I missing something? Standard mainstream cafe menu, not really marked up for vegans or vegetarians. They were a bit blank when we asked if they had anything suitable. They suggested maybe adapting a jacket potato or a salad. We didn’t stay to eat when we realised there was nothing for us. We asked about the Bakewell tart after reading other Happy Cow reviews. Purchased one for takeaway (£7!!!) but it’s just an unexciting pre-packaged processed one.

Vegan Bakewell tart - Edit
Came here for the vegan Bakewell tart, and bought for take away. I think the tart is sold in a few places. Nice location near the river.

Service is friendly. These folks do various vegan sarnies, have a decent range of non animal milks, and so on.

Plenty for vegans - Edit
They do vegan lunch options, vegan cakes, vegan bakewell tarts and everything is tasty and fresh. Vegan hot chocolate too! A choice of plant milk for hot drinks. They also sell some chocolates and gift foods with vegan options too - and omnivore food so a great place if in Bakewell with a group.
