Very good Taro sauce jaune

This was the only traditional vegan Cameroonian meal i could find in Yaoundé. The Taro sauce jaune consists in a purée of Taro (a vegetable similar to potato but white) served with a yellow sauce made from oil and spices.

Ask the staff to serve it with vegetables (légumes) otherwise they might serve it with the peanut veggies which is also cooked with fish…

Pros: Traditional vegan food, Very cheap (local price)

Cons: Staff is not knowledgeable about vegetarianism, Few vegan options
