Decent, but not for everyone. - Edit
I’ve eaten here twice. Once on their opening weekend and another time in February of 2018. Both occasions either myself or my husband had the wrong order given to us. Not a huge deal since they’re really nice and we’re happy to fix it.
Read moreThe jackfruit tacos are awesome, however for 9$ you don’t get very much food—2 street-sizes tacos, I believe.
The second time I ate there I got the lasagne and it was just alright. I had to make myself finish it. It had a lot of flavors and but they didn’t all seem to work well together. I make a vegan lasagne at home a few times per month and I’d rather make than eat their lasagne again.
I appreciate that it is the only strictly vegan restaurant in town and for that I will continue to go here on special occasions for the sake of no having to cook or eat chipotle or pizza.
It brings variety and I like that they always change their menu. The atmosphere is great but the tables are wobbly and—since they’re patio-style tables—the utensils constantly fall through the cracks and onto the floor.
Pros: An actual vegan restaurant
Cons: Location, Tables , Inconsistency

A great spot to chill & eat. Located second floor, above a bike shop on the corner. My buddy had the lasagna & I opted for the gyro. BOTH rocked!!

Each dish is packed with flavor. They use a lot of Whole Foods, and besides the seitan gyro I think everything is Whole Foods. We got the lasagna, burrito and Buddha bowl. Really great atmosphere part yoga studio part vegan cafe. Lots of plants everywhere and hardwood floors

Best Vegan food around - Edit
I LOVE Fika. The owners are passionate about the lifestyle and are very relaxed and easy-going. They source the majority of their ingredients from local KY farms, so you are guaranteed to have a fresh meal. I had the jackfruit carnitas, which absolutely blew my mind! This is the only 100% vegan establishment in Lexington, so please, please check out this beautiful gem of a place!

New Obsession - Edit
Incredible, my new fave eatery. Staff is wonderful, genuine, helpful and you could honestly make a friend here. The food is obsession-worthy, wholesome, with transparent ingredient list, much of which is locally sourced. Staff are passionate about this place and will answer any questions you have. The ambiance is perfect for laughter-filled lunches and deep conversations. Judgement-free zone. You will lose your mind for the Gravy + Biscuits.

Fika is great - Edit
A lot of care goes into the food. I could be biased - it is hard not to appreciate the first vegan restaurant in town when you are a vegan!
Read moreBut Min and Brandon and crew do a great job of making food with love and care.
Been a few times now. The gyro is great, the guacamole and chips are very good, the lasagna is very good. Be prepared to wait a few minutes for the lasagna... but that's okay!
The peanut butter choco desert my friend loved as well!

Vegan at its best! - Edit
The guca with plantain chips is great!
Read moreBut, have you tried Fika's brunch?! They cook it up on Saturdays and Sundays, and it will blow your mind that this is vegan (but it is! ). It grew up eating sausage and gravy, you have got to try this vegan take - they will probably take the secret to their buttermilk gravy to the grave! And if you have a sweet tooth, they have French toast beignets!
Anything organic that can be sourced, locally is used in their cooking - which makes me, a local, a regular!
Pros: Food is amazing, Decor will take you to the islands, First vegan place in town
Cons: None, I love it!

Evening Dinner - Edit
After looking at Vegan Restaurant options in the Lexington area, I found Fika Vegan Cantina. I decided to check this restaurant out right before they closed for the night (9pm). After talking with staff, I decided to try the Jackfruit Carnitas with the Ace Pineapple Cider.
Read moreThe Jackfruit Carnitas were delicious. After talking with the cook/owner I found out the Jackfruit was fresh (not from a can). Which is always a good thing, especially as they get it from a local Asian market in the area. The sliced avalado, cabbage pico and lime made this dish have another pack of flavor.
For dessert (Decadent), I decided to try the PB Choco Stout which was also amazing. The edible flower that accompanied both dishes was a nice crunch in the Decadent.
Overall, the food is amazing, the staff is friendly and very helpful. If you're interested in checking out the healthy food options, I would recommend this restaurant.
Pros: Local ingredients, Friendly staff, Delicious food
Cons: Small location (10 seats), Upstairs restaurant, limited handicap accessible

I am new to vegan life. Love the cuisine and this seemed to be Forks Over Knives friendly. Fairly expensive but what isn't anymore? I will be here frequently
