Vegan & Vegetarian Options in Pub Style Food

The Fiddle & Firkin is one of the very few restaurants in Cambridge that offers vegan protein options. The staff are always friendly and the menu is extensive for pleasing a group. The online menu is only a fraction of what they offer as they have so many other daily options on their chalk boards. You do have to be careful to mention that you want vegan options & not just vegetarian ones, as many of the plant based proteins (veggie tacos, ch'kn fingers & ch'kn wings) come with a dip or sauce that is dairy based so vegetarian friendly, but not vegan. I bring a small container of my own vegan ranch dressing, or vegan sour cream & my preferred vegan cheese with me to all restaurants though, so this isn't an issue for me. Every time I've asked for them to make a substitution to a salad or other dish to swap out for the veggie crumbles, they've been happy to accommodate me. Overall the Fiddle & Firkin pub is one of the best options in my area. The veggie tacos (ask for no sour cream or feta) are fabulous!

Cons: You do have to specify no dairy when ordering , They don't always have vegan cheese available, I wish they had mocktails/alcohol free options
