Basic vegan menu but tasty - Edit
Fauno has a very basic menu but it is delicious and very reasonably priced. Main course options included marinara pizza, spaghetti pomodoro and a pasta dish using tofu & pesto.

Pros: Spaghetti pomodoro

Good good & good price - Edit
We had a marinara pizza and a tomato pasta (basic vegan necessity) but both were surprisingly good! It’s nice to sit out on the square and watch the hustle and bustle of Sorrento. Two drinks and two meals cost us around €40 with a complimentary shot of Cherry liquor (which was delicious and vegan) after the meal!

Friendly and popular restaurant with vegan options - Edit
Restaurant had a vegan menu with options including pasta pomodoro which had lots of tomatoes in it and you could order a side of mixed grilled vegetables which was delicious. There was also a vegan option for pizza I believe. Soya milk was available for hot drinks.

Okay for Sorrento - Edit
It's pretty hard to find vegan options in Sorrento, but at least here you can get a plate of boiled vegetables for 10€ and a relatively good marinara pizza for a similar price. I don't recommend the pesto pasta - it's shockingly bad.

Fine for Sorrento - Edit
As this city is not the most vegan friendly, it is very helpful to have a separate vegan menu in English and Italian. As other reviewers have said, the quality of the food is fine (the raw tofu in the pesto pasta has been mentioned quite a bit and I echo the sentiment). Vegetable antipasto is also just fine.

Fauno is well located with Great service, you can sit end enjoy the atmosphere of Sorento. The menu is full of options for vegetarians, but the food is not much seasoned, at least the omelet with vegetables that I ordered.

Good and easy - Edit
The food we had was good but nothing memorable. As one of very few places in town with a printed vegan menu, I appreciated the ease of dining here.

Amazing dinner - Edit
ok first off they brought us prosecco while we waited for our table (which was only 10 minutes). considering this is the first restaraunt you come across on your way into the walkable town area, it’s a surprise there wasn’t more of a wait. The prices were also very good compared to the rest of Sorrento, and a real bang for your buck with the free drinks. The waiters were so friendly. Lots of vegan options to choose from. a whole section for veg. I got the eggplant pasta dish and it was superb. At the end of the meal they brought us a cherry amaretto shot that was perfect cherry on top 🍒

Very busy and more commercial than some other places. It is on the main street into the centre and lots of people traffic on the front. The food was okay and lots of choice on the menu, small vegan menu available.

Location:
Read moreThis isn't the usual kind of place I'd go for a meal on holiday. Normally, I try and avoid the tourist traps with waiters in waistcoats standing on the street, trying to encourage customers inside. But, I wanted to watch the sorrento Easter parade go by, and it was a great spot for that and for people watching.
Menu:
There's a vegan section at the rear of the vast menu book. But to be honest, the choices were basic or just sounded odd as though the chef had been asked to include vegan dishes but didn't really understand good vegan recipes. Tofu in pesto pasta? Other choices included spaghetti in tomato sauce or marinara pizza. It wasn't too clear what were mains and what were starters as prices seemed similar, but I presumed a plate of vegetables was a starter?
Food:
I had the marinara pizza and was relatively disappointed. Essentially, they take a pizza base and empty a tin of chopped tomatoes on it and sprinkle it with dried herbs.
It was €9 so fairly well priced. I wouldn't have wanted to pay more.
Staff:
Pleasant staff that understood that I wanted vegan pizza. I didn't ask if they could veganise any of the other dishes as they were busy and I fancied the pizza anyway. Service was quick.
Cost:
For a restaurant situated in prime position on the main sorrento Square the price was reasonable.

Separate vegan menu, clearly labeled - Edit
Great that there was a clear, seperate menu (at the back of the main menu) for both vegan and vegetarian. Opted for the pesto pasta with tofu… jury’s still out on whether tofu goes with pasta! Would have been better with more (if they used any at all) nutritional yeast but appreciated the effort nonetheless!

Clear vegan menu - Edit
Central restaurant with a separate vegan menu. They also gave us complimentary Prosecco while they got us a table and a little apéro of amaretto or some sweet liquor at the end of our meal. ‘Twas very nice! We got there at a good time, there was a line to eat almost immediately after we sat down and continued to be after we left so it may be best to get reservations.

They had a vegan menu and I was excited about it. I had a lemon martini and it was a bit too tart to my liking, but the pasta was fresh and tasty.

Tourist trap - Edit
I’ve had plenty of delicious pasta dishes from Rome to Sorrento and in between that weren’t labeled “vegan.” Had the pesto fusili pasta and it was not good at all. Bland and heavy. No seasoning or good pesto flavor. If you’re going to go to the trouble to offer a “vegan” menu, it should be as excellent as the rest and not an afterthought, sans salt. Much better smaller spots around with plenty of veg options that are delicious. Place was also fast- paced and service was rushed. Definitely recommend passing this one.

Found this from other recommendations on HC. It offers a vegan menu with pizza, pesto pasta, tofu caprese, melon and avocado and more. Was very good service and lovely food. Not too expensive either! Good location in Sorento but not the most scenic. Would recommend for a nice lunch!

Fauno’s bar is one of the biggest restaurants in the main square and is always buzzing with lots of people - they have loads of options including a vegan and veggie menu! I went for a pesto pasta which was so delicious, a really healthy portion size, good value for money and tastes lovely. This is a really good option if you are travelling with non vegans as there is just so many options for everyone! You also get lots of extras including a glass of fizz whilst you wait, bread and breadsticks, and a cherry shot with the bill
