Fresh, all local-produce from within 180 miles. Also find Radical Eats all vegan food booth selling tamales and soups here (radicaleats.com). Open Sat 8:00am-12:00pm.
This is a great destination for anyone!
They have all sorts of great stuff here including Pat Greer's raw vegan kitchen, Sinful Bakery, and Ripe cuisine. Everything all in one place. They also have dog adoptions by a local rescue group, which is nice.
It's cool to see non-vegans try out the vegan stuff here.
My favorite Houston area Farmers Market! Sponsored by Urban Harvest, Locally based organization promoting gardening education & sustainable, environmentally responsible community gardening. Sponsors school & church gardens, supports food banks, runs a fruit tree sale each January offering plants that grow well in southeast Texas. Lots of educational informational handouts at the market, & periodic seminars.
All vendors are carefully vetted for this Saturday market, and a Wednesday satellite seasonal market at Houston City Hall.
Vegan vendors include Sinfull Bakery, Ripe-Cuisine food truck, Guudbelly's, andPat Greer's Kitchen YaYa (mostly vegan, mostly raw, some items contain honey). Sadly, Radical Eats, once a vegan mainstay in the area, has closed. Nisha's Indian food has some vegan options.
Abundant seasonal fresh produce available, some organic, all local. Includes a market growers areas where small, backyard growers get together to sell their surplus.
Also has a pet adoption area.

I try to make it here every other weekend to pick up fresh produce and browse the new selections. The vendors are always friendly and knowledgeable and there are a few different food trucks to choose from if you're looking for a fun meal or snack! There is a wide variety of things to choose from - fruits, vegetables, soups, sauces, desserts, candles, soaps, and more! Definitely a hidden gem in the middle of town.
The earlier you can arrive the better. Parking can get pretty tight. I always try to be there by 8:00, no later than 8:15!
I went to the farmers market not expecting anything but vegetables but I found this great booth. I got a gluten-free vegan pumpkin soup and a gluten free bundle thingy with spinach. This was the best thing I've had in Houston since I got here.
