One of the Best Meals of My Life - Edit
Beautiful setting. Great staff. Brilliant design scheme. I loved every minute of it. The food comes out in an seemingly endless series of courses. We even got an extra dessert and a thank you bread for the road. The wine pairing was thoughtful and tasty. I can't say enough good things about this place. A splurge that's well worth it.

Best in Portland - Edit
Best vegan food in PDX. Aaron and crew do a fantastic job of putting together a memorable, unique, and incredibly delicious menu every time. They are also very receptive to questions and explain the food extensively. Incredibly friendly and engaging too! The non-alcoholic beverage pairings are definitely worth getting as are the wine pairings. Get both if you're going with a partner!

Really cool and fun thing to do (if you have some money burning a hole in your pocket) 20 corse meal made up of tiny little delicious things. BE ON TIME, or they will not let you in.

Best meal of my life - Edit
I'm late to review, but came on my birthday in September. The whole experience was the best I've ever had. It's an intimate setting and you witness the team of chef creating art out of vegetables and fruits for you. The tiny plates that keep coming are delightful. I loved the little Alice in wonderland style palate cleanser in the middle of the meal. The little bottles are adorable.

It's going to be a special day when my husband and I can come again. I suggest getting the wine pairing as well.

"Jiro Dreams of Sushi" meets veganism - Edit
The fare is austere but delicious. There were 15 courses at our seating; be sure to come on an empty stomach. A rare treat and experience.

Absolute new favorite - Edit
Just came back from an incredible dinner at Farm Spirit and am happy to report that all the raving reviews are accurate. I can't even begin to imagine the time and effort that goes into the preparations of this 10+ course meal. Food was excellent, bold, complex, and creative, with no lack of intriguing textures, dehydration, fermentation, esoteric ingredients, etc., all of which are right up my street. Some dishes appeared simple at first glance, but boy did they deliver on the flavors. As all seats are counter seats, everyone gets to see how their dishes come together and marvel at the chefs' meticulous plating skills. It also makes for an intimate and personal setting which—together with the genuine and friendly team and the homely décor—was probably the most unpretentious fine dining experience I've ever had. I ordered the non-alcoholic beverage pairing as well and would highly recommend it. If you could only splurge on one meal in Portland, this is the one.

Almost there - Edit
We went to Farm Spirit for their 15 course New Years' Eve dinner, and it wasn't as good as we were expecting. Most of the courses were creative and delicious, but I don't believe all of their courses were quite there; it's missing a flavor element that I just wasn't detecting. The atmosphere was just wonderful, as were the chefs and the other clientele present.
Read moreIf you're going with another person, make sure one of you gets the wine pairing, and the other gets the non alcoholic pairing. Highly recommend that. This restaurant will continuously getting better, so I have high hopes for them, just wasn't quite there when we went.
Pros: atmosphere
Cons: flavor (for now)

wow! - Edit
One of the best dining experiences I've ever had. This place is not to be missed if you are in Portland. Unique, fresh, artistic and local. Really, plant based food as an art form. Getting to talk to the chefs as they prepare and watching the magic happen in front of you is dining at its most creative. Tastes and textures, just delicious!

vegan dream dinner - Edit
Aaron have developed the best vegan dining experience ever. A brilliant model of a an intimate setting, impeccable service, a front row seat to view the master creation of delectable, 100% local, 100% vegan top flight cuisine. Pairing available with local wines, or for us non-drinkers an amazing assortment of probiotic kombucha, juices, and bubbly deliciousness. The $100 buys a three hour meal, no tip required. It's truly not pricy given the rich experience. I'll post the menu and photos which will tell the tale from the evening. My limited words of gastronomic delectability cant do the menu justice. Vegan food as an art form. After traveling in London and Paris recently, I feel so blessed to live in Portland - the epicenter of a food transformation. Kudos to Aaron and his team for making me feel that becoming vegan was one of the best decisions of my life.
