Would give 1 star, but I try to be generous with all-vegan places.
Read moreThe food was just very underwhelming - as vegans, we've had a lot of falafel, and it was far from good (especially egregious when your name is Falafel Bros). My falafel wrap was dry - the way they ask for toppings and add them on at the end means it's very unbalanced and the bottom half is dry and boring.
Also, the service was not super accommodating (e.g., they wouldn't give me half tea and half lemonade, commonly known in the US as an Arnold palmer - and before you think I'm being harsh or there was a language barrier, they were international anglophone employees).
One of our only disappointing experiences eating out in Japan over nearly 2 weeks.
Oh, and the seating was very cramped and uncomfortable.

Great that they are vegan but their food was not great tasting and they ran out of many items rather early in the evening. Hummus tasted like it had no tahini or chickpeas. Pitsa was good. Falafel balls were fair.

Ok falafel, but the types of veg added in were terrible, especially as you can't choose when getting it via delivery service. The karaage had sauce on top of it rather than the side too, plus it was just the same sauce as given in the sandwich.

Mc Donalds like fast food for falafel. Soup was almost cold, falafel are not handmade. Would recommend if you are hungry and nearby. Seating is rather uncomfortable.

The manager(?) was very nice and accommodating of our group of 13. The staff was English speaking and there was definitely an international vibe (paint markers are provided for writing on the walls, which are covered in messages in all languages from around the world).
Read moreThe food was good, not fantastic; the falafel pitas I think would be improved if the toppings/hummus were spread inside the pita first, rather than lumped on top. The assembly made it difficult to get a perfect bite. However, the falafel was fried-to-order and delicious, and the ingredients were fresh. I also had an iced chai, which was very good.
I didn't love the "Crookie" dessert, which didn't appear as in the picture. The ice cream on top was great, but the cookie itself was a crunchy, oatmeal/craisin cookie rather than a chocolate chip cookie (which I expected based on the picture/model). Not an issue if you like healthy oatmeal cookies, but I would've tried a different dessert if I'd known.
A friend ordered a curry plate and praised it very highly, so that's worth a try as well.
I'd go again, but wouldn't make a special trip. If you're craving falafel/middle eastern food in Tokyo, it will deliver.
Pros: Fresh ingredients, Welcoming and accepting vibe, Better than expected menu variety

We went to Falafel Brothers while checking out the Shibuya Mall and I decided to try the Gyoza and a piece of the Apple Pie. Both was great and I would totally recommend going there. The other food looked fantastic as well and the staff was super friendly.

We weren’t starving so we ordered a few of the “small meal” options to share instead of getting big lunch sets.
Read moreWe got the falafel snack (5 falafel in a bed of shredded cabbage with some pickles and your choice of tahini sauce), mesh fries, and samosas (which also come with a sauce).
Everything was super yummy and satisfying, and they offered an extra topping if you follow them on instagram.
I also ordered the summer special lemon “bro-shake” and omg it tastes like lemon pie as a shake!
I wish we had more stomach space to try a dessert but I definitely recommend trying this place, especially if you are a nerd and going to check out the Nintendo store in the same building.

Good vegan falafel dishes! Conveniently in a mall, so it is easy to find vegan food when shopping and visiting the Nintendo/Pokemon Stores in Shibuya. Vegan options are very clear and the restaurant is cozy.

In terms of vegan places in japan this was definitely on the cheapest side of things. Staff were very friendly and i think all spoke english. The seating was a little weird i found myself turning my entire body to sit on one of the tables

Read moreI got the falafel salad bowl combo set where I chose mixed veges, fries and mango juice to come with my meal. You can also choose 3 toppings to go on top.
The portion size of the salad bowl was really good, with lots of falafel balls with sauce and hummus on top. It looked amazing but unfortunately the taste was somehow quite bland.
The falafel was firmer than what I would have liked but they were generous with the quantity. The fries and mango juice were good.
There is not much seating and the tables are pretty small, but we didn't have luggage with us so it wasn't too bad. The store had an amazing music playlist though!
The Shibuya branch is located in the Parco building on the 7th restaurant floor. There are no bathrooms in Falafel Brothers but there are some on the same floor.
We were ready to love the food so we were a little disappointed!
