There is also a "diet" section with steamed dishes including a mixed vegetables with tofu - ask staff about the sauces that come with the dishes. Lunch specials are inexpensive but the only vegetarian choice is mixed vegetables. Open Mon-Thu 10:30am-10:00pm, Fri-Sat 10:30am-10:30pm, Sun 10:30am-9:30pm.

Veg-Friendly General Tso's

You'll think you're driving into the middle of nowhere, but they're there! They serve fake chicken (seitan, I think) in several of their dishes, including General Tso's which was awesome. The Ma Po Tofu was wet and flavorless though, so skip that. Get garlic broccoli instead.

Vegan Options Are Possible Here!

This is a very small Asian restaurant in a strip mall next to a grocery store. There isn't a lot of seating but you can dine-in. It looks like they do primarily take out service. Be sure to talk to the staff and clarify no-meat/no-fish sauces, such as the white sauce.

Pros: Can request vegan versions, Veggies are bright & fresh, Staff very friendly

Cons: No vegan section on menu

Best vegetarian Chinese food in Hagerstown?

The only vegan options on the menu that I was aware of were Steamed Vegetables and Steamed Vegetables with Tofu, without the sauce. But I don't think any other restaurant in this entire city offers Steamed Vegetables with Tofu (at least not without making a special request). My wife, who is not strictly vegan, loves their Vegetarian Chicken dishes. They are stir-fried with some kind of sauce. But again, these dishes seem pretty unique so if someone wants to investigate their veganness further, be my guest.

Pros: Some vegan/vegetarian dishes, Moderate prices

Cons: No indication on menu whether any item is vegan
