Updated: not so good anymore - Edit
I’ve been here a couple times and amazing! For breakfast I ate a parfait that was amazing. They make their own coconut yogurt for it. For dinner I ate the spaghetti squash basil bowl- dynamite intense basil flavors! All their desserts are gf. Had their ‘Caramel’ which was dates, coconut, and chocolate- yum!!!!

Very tasty unique options! - Edit
Great lunch spot in a cool area that’s nice to walk around in! My husband had the El Santo burger which was a soy chorizo burger, and I had the Truffled Mushroom Flatbread which had coconut “bacon”, mushrooms, butternut squash, a lot of roasted garlic, and fried sage. YUM! The crust was squishy and crunchy, not sure what it was made out of but it had pink in it so beets and cauliflower maybe? Service was super fast and the food was delicious. Nice and spaced out. Bathrooms super clean and fresh. Lots of smoothie and salad options and even an unlisted kids menu from what I overheard. My 3 yo had snacks packed for our outing.

Some good choices! - Edit
Cute little vegan restaurant on Encinitas main street. Used to have to die for Buddha bowls in the early times after opening. Good smoothie choices, juices etc. Nice atmosphere.

Excellent Vegan Spot! - Edit
We had the Kung Pao Buddha Bowl and the Truffled Mushroom Flatbread. All amazing, their staff is friendly and the food is reasonably priced for eating healthy. Wonderfully airy and relaxing atmosphere in Encinitas.

Bland Kung Pao - Edit
Kung Pao had literally no heat to it. No peppers. If I didn't know what I ordered I wouldn't even know what to describe it as. Chopped vegetables in a bland sauce?

It’s ok. - Edit
I want to love this place because it’s super cute, but every time I go I’m super underwhelmed. The staff is really “spacy” for lack of a better term, and nothing I’ve ordered has wowed me with the taste/texture. I got a smoothie once that was okay, but not enough to bring me back.

meh... - Edit
This place has potential, but the vibe during Covid is all wrong. Everything is served in a togo container and feels slapped together. The woman behind the counter seemed rushed an hour before closing (6pm) and was ready to shut the doors. The entire time we were there she was stacking chairs and dragging tables inside from the patio. My son had a burger that looked good, but was a bit soggy. My açaí bowl was flavorless, contained 1 strawberry and 5 banana slices, and had chalky granola. Sorry, won't be going back.

One of best in area - Edit
Love the place overall and frequently visit when in area. Menu is pretty great but can be somewhat uneven depending on the day.. and same goes for the service. Pre-pandemic had a really friendly community atmosphere that I’m sure will be back.

Quiche - Edit
I’ve had a few things here and they’ve been good, but once I had the quiche that’s what I always get if they have any. It is sooooo good! (Just had some today 😍)

I’m sure they have lots of other delicious menu items - Edit
My Summer Harvest salad to go felt like it didn’t have enough toppings but more than enough dressing. The toppings weren’t hidden on the bottom. There just were barely any, and the pieces that were there..were super small.
Read moreIt’s described as: “roasted butternut squash, pickled white asparagus, lentils, and watermelon radish with torn kale in a light tarragon sunflower dressing”
The dressing was a vinaigrette and more on the acidic spectrum so by having everything drenched in it - it was just way too vinegary. There was sauce pooled in the bottom corner of the box too.
Maybe they were having a busy night and were rushed? But this was 2-2.5

3.5 stars. The meatballs and chorizo burrito were very flavorful. Jackfruit tacos were surprisingly bland.

Very disappointing - Edit
I was excited to go to Eve due to it being fully vegan and having good reviews. My experience was very disappointing.
Read moreI ordered the Margherita pizza and the crust was so bad that I couldn't even eat it. I ended up throwing it all out.
Their tacos were better, but nothing too special.
My friend ordered the meatballs, which according to him had the texture of real meat (for him this was good, for me not so much) and the stir fry, which he didn't finish because it was too spicy.
There were only two women working the counter and waiting and they were extremely overwhelmed with clearly not having enough staff. The food took almost half an hour to come out.
I wouldn't recommend it.
Pros: All vegan.
Cons: Food isn't great, slow service.

Service was nice and on time. The food had so many good flavors added to something that could have been so basic. I highly recommend trying this place at least once because I know there are things on the menu that I haven’t tried yet.

Bad Buddha Bowl - Edit
It was a long wait and not worth it. It was decent at best. The Kung Pao bowl lacked flavor. The cauliflower was raw, the rice was overcooked. In the end it tastes like oil coated rice. The avocado tomato basil flatbread was good. I’m sad to say this was the worst vegan restaurant I’ve ever been to.

My boyfriend and I stopped at Eve for lunch. I got a bowl, he got a burrito and we shared a smoothie. The portions are MASSIVE so come with an empty stomach for sure!! The smoothie wasn’t great, so I’m not sure I would recommend them but the food was excellent!

Quality food and good portion sizes - Edit
This place is very cool with a lot of personality. The inside is very cozy with a bohemian theme. There is also a full service experience in the back of the restaurant. I gave them 4 stars because the service had some flaws due to it being a little busy. Also, the veggie burrito was very bland and underwhelming. But the staff were very friendly. I recommend the Santa Maria burrito.- it’s huge! The burgers were good too and they use beyond burgers. A

Love, love, LOVE Eve! - Edit
This restaurant has been and will continue to be one of my favorite vegan restaurants. I can always rely on Eve for good vibes and good food! The staff are always very friendly. I have had many different items off the menu (burgers, burritos, bowls, flatbreads - you name it) and have always been extremely pleased with my meal! Their vegan cheesecakes are especially delightful. Their seasonal kefir soda is yummy as well! Eve also hosts very cool events from time to time. Do yourself a favor and venture to this local favorite!! I should also mention that the food here is carnivore approved - I’ve taken numerous meat eaters here and all have thoroughly enjoyed their meals :)

Great if you like spicy! - Edit
I ordered the butternut squash tacos, thinking I’d be safe from any spice with those. I was wrong. I took two bites and my mouth was burning. I will say that those two bites were tasty though. If I was capable of eating spice I would have been able to eat and enjoy them. Oh and their homemade corn tortillas are awesome!
Read moreA staff member came to check on us and I told her it was too spicy so she let me order something else. I ordered a vegan burger that she said was flavorful but not spicy. However there was something on the burger that was still hurting my mouth. And I wasn’t a fan of their pickles, they were too sweet.
(I have a mouth condition right now, where my mouth is filled with sores. It hurts to eat anything with lots of spice. Or citrus. So it’s really not their fault and they did try to fix it)
I ended up breaking the burger apart and eating the burger plain which mostly worked. I’d go back. But my mouth needs to heal first do I can handle some spice.
Pros: Lots of vegan options
Cons: Everything is spicy
