Good bar / snack food - Edit
Shared Brazilian coxinha and cheese balls (and side salad) with my friend. Portion sizes were decent and I was full afterwards. Nice bar food - the restaurant was cool however the toilets are VERY dark

Great bar food - Edit
I was in the Dalston Superstore for a night out, which was already amazing - then I tried some of the incredible food which made the night even better! The entire menu is vegan, I had a seitan burger, and tried some of the fries and seitan wings. They were all delicious! I’ll definitely return to try out their daytime menus too!

Lovely cake and fun - Edit
Popped in for tea and cake (pao de mel), which was absolutely delicious. The drag brunch act was fun, too, and unexpected! Will definitely be back for some savoury food next time.

We Love Dalston Superstore! - Edit
The pictures of the food here don't do it justice, they have some really exciting food on offer, we love the atmosphere of the restaurant and it's very affordable - should be 1 £ sign rather than 2! Definitely a must visit if you're in Hackney :)

Bad belly all night - Edit
I ordered a burger and cassava chips with a passion fruit cheesecake on deliveroo. It came quick, after the first bite it didn't taste right, burger patty tasted like boiled spongy meat , it was a very strange texture. I absolutely couldn't eat the rest. The casava chips were very oily and the cheesecake was warm. I would give this a one star if I could.

Bet on Leto - Edit
Great little cafe in a cool area in East London. Jared Leto walked in when I was there so if it's good enough for him it's good enough for me. I was warned that there were some laptop thieves in the area who might run past and swipe your device if sitting outside though so be warned.

Great cake and friendly staff - Edit
We came here for some coffee and cakes this afternoon and I had an excellent piece of coffee and walnut cake along with a chai latte. Both were delicious and I very much enjoyed eating them while sitting in the nice atmosphere in the cafe with several friendly dogs belonging to customers saying hello while I was there.

Essentially, fantastic! - Edit
If you had Brazilian food before you were Vegan. Essential Vegan fulfils that craving to continue having your favourite Brazilian snacks and meals. The creativity and recipes made there are among the best I’ve come across. Especially for recreating textures and a traditional versions of favourite dishes. They make the best vegan chicken. It’s soft, chewy, crispy and tasty in all the right ways. I had the chicken wings, which were more like chicken balls, and chicken burger on my previous visit (All Vegan). As well as the Brazilian cheese balls. Really good! Rissoles and coxinha. Go try these things if you’ve not had them before. It’ll be a change from the typical burger and chips, just as satisfying and as good. If you want feijoada... give them a call before you go. As they currently do it on some weekends only! That will be my next trip ‘feijoada’ I’ll take pictures next time I go ;). It is a cafe... I would not say this is the place for ambiance. Go in mind for hearty good food. It’s an open kitchen and it’s a creative space. Very reflective of the area. You’ll see their pantry and other things. Overall I particularly like the place.

Very kale salad - Edit
From the specials board I chose the kale-avocado-sweet potato salad (£7), which was a large bowl of kale with a few other leaves, good sweet-potato chunks, topped with sunflower seeds. The dressing was a very tasty flavour. It was a lot of chewy kale to munch through, and I brought some of it home. Bought their smoky nut cheese to take home and a peanut butter cookie, which was soft-centred and good.
Read moreWhen paying, I was asked if I was okay with having 10% added to the bill, and I said yes. The late-afternoon time I was there, with the owner and three other staff on duty, they carried on with loud chatter throughout my stay. Certainly a casual place.

Bland food and filthy toilet area - Edit
Such a disappointing dining experience, the cafe windows were filthy and you have to go through a grubby cupboard area to be met with dirty, damp toilets with no soap. The food is fried and dry (no sauce with anything). Presentation poor. We had chips, cheese balls and pancakes served with tofu/spinach. Sounds nice but dry as a bone. We were surprised by all these high ratings as they didn’t reflect our visit at all.

Clean the tables - Edit
Had a slice of chocolate cake, a cinnamon roll and an americano. Cake is pricy (£4), cake window looks super sad and a bit dirty, overall super noisy cafe (even though we were alone here) and every single table was cluttered with dirty dishes and cutlery... three waiters, literally nobody did something about it.

We came here on a vegan food tour and were so pleased to have been introduced to their unique menu. We had the cassava chips, the Brazilian jackfruit and sweet corn balls - such a delicious flavour. Best of all was the cheese balls, amazing texture like real cheese. We will definitely be back soon!

Most of the vegan options in this city are sad chain joints in sad spaces filled with sad people. This spot is really the only spot I actually enjoyed eating at.
