Great vegan options - Edit
Great Ethiopian food, with great vegan and gluten free options. The different lentil dishes were delicious. The collard greens were amazing and the veggie sambosas were delicious.

not best in city - Edit
Unfortunately, it was waaaay too oily - a sad excuse for Ethiopian food. I had some lentils with my bowl of oil.😡Check out Mesob or Blue Nile instead!

Great food! - Edit
I’m happy to find an Ethiopian restaurant near me! They’ve got all the staples, and the injera is fabulous. It really brings back great memories.

Fun and Delicious - Edit
I highly recommend eating at this spot. They have an entire side of the menu with vegan options. I got the combo platter. The best one was the collared greens if I was going to get an individual dish it would be that one

Excellent Vegan options with Gluten-free Injera as an added bonus - Edit
Veggie combo was excellent, Vegan, and enough for two meals. Gluten-free Injera was great option. The Veggie Samosa is not GF but is Vegan and were fantastic.

Some of the Best Ethiopian I've Had - Edit
Some of the best Ethiopian food I've had. Really strong flavors with thick injera. Filling. Staff was friendly and the restaurant itself is well designed. Great experience.

Love this place! - Edit
The vegetarian platter is the best! My husband and I always get so full when we come to Elsa’s; it’s our favorite place to eat when we come to KC. The staff are always so friendly and you can tell they love sharing Ethiopian culture and food with others.

Super tasty vegan food! - Edit
I had never tried Ethiopian food before, but I'm so glad I visited this place. The food was fantastic! I ordered the veggie combo (after doing some research because I'm a skeptic) and it did appear to be completely vegan! So yummy! I found the take out time to be a little slow, but their staff is small so I didn't blame them. I would order and pick up to avoid the wait time! The server was so nice and poured me a glass of Spiced Tea for my wait. Wonderful restaurant!

Best Ethiopian in town - Edit
Elsa's is small and quaint but with amazing food. Ethiopian is incredibly vegan-friendly. Elsa's is my favorite in town because of her collard greens - I never thought I would like collard greens...

LOVE THIS PLACE - Edit
I've eaten here 3 times and I cannot rave about this place enough. Tiny little hole in the wall with AMAZING food. I get the veggie combo every time - it's 100% vegan, as is the bread it comes with! And not to mention, it's enough to feed an army, so I always have leftovers. This place is amazing - I eat here every chance I get.

Cons: Service can be slow, but worth the wait
