Last time was good - Edit
I have been here many times and until recently they never had any plant milk. There was a waitress who was really making an effort to get me a vegan dish and it was possible for me to get a vegan Flammkuchen that tasted really good. I had a Latte Macchiato with soy milk also for the first time. Maybe it depends on the hotel guests if they are equipped for vegans or not… I’m hoping for continuity.
Read moreOn the menu you can expect fries and green salad to be vegan if you ask for a vegan dressing.
Sometimes staff seems stressed and isn’t always too customer oriented. Information on which of their baked goods are vegan can vary.
Since there aren’t many options for vegans in Mutterstadt I will still be there once in a while, but I was surprised they even made it into Happy Cow, given the criteria they have.

Pros: spacious with outside seating , good bread, fair prices
Cons: staff not always friendly , vegan is still strange to some of the staff, few veggie and no vegan options unless you ask

Saving grace in Mutterstadt! - Edit
This place really saved me during an extended stay with friends in Mutterstadt. They can make a vegan version of Flammkuchen, which is quite tasty and was a bit different every time. They also have soy milk and pretty good coffee served with Lotus cookies. You can get juices, and most likely could get some bread rolls with jam or something similar for breakfast. The cafe has wifi and let me sit here a long time. Great place, super friendly staff, and helpful for finding something to eat that's vegan! :)
