Very cheap - Edit
A very cheap vegetarian meal! Unfortunately, a few of the dishes weren't very inspiring, especially not the "fruit of the season" dessert- it was more like "a banana from last year". Some of the meals were good though,

Lunch at a leisurely pace - Edit
We ate at this restauarant in August 2010 (and it is good to find a veggie restaurant that is open in August). The food was good though a little exotic for our children. There is a set menu for lunch (there is nothing else but that) which was fine for the adults. My son liked the tortilla (which is actually a type of omlet) and we were able to order a second one for him. The main problem was the slow service (although the staff is quite friendly and accommodating). We arrived at 1:30 p.m. and left at 4:00 p.m. So, if you dine make sure you have enough time. The restaurant was full with locals so it is obviously a popular place. On the weekends they have special meals but we did not have the time to return to try them out.

Good basic Veg eating place - Edit
Good basic restaurant. Selection of vegetarian & vegan options and fresh fruit juices etc. Vegan options a bit limited. Main dishes were rather salty but reasonably priced.

A pleasant retreat - Edit
El Huerto is a relaxed oasis in the bustling heart of Málaga. The menu is eclectic, with about four or five vegan dishes. Prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality (e.g. 6-9 euros for a main dish). The very helpful server wasn't sure at first which items on the menu were vegan, but when asked he happily went to ask the chef.
Read moreNote to those who don't speak Spanish: there is no English menu (at least not as of August '09), so you might need a little sense of adventure. Vegans may need to ask which dishes are suitable.
Pros: Good food, Calm setting, Good prices
Cons: Vegan dishes not marked on the menu

Nice place full of happy regulars - Edit
Found this place just by walking around, how excellent is that! They had a blackboard outside with the Menú del dÃa, so you could see what stuff they had every day. The V options are clearly marked. They served warmed wholemeal bread, which is always a wonderful surprise in Spain. The food was good, particularly the ajoblanco and the gazpacho. We were so stuffed after the starter, first course, and second course that we had to skip the dessert!
