Beautiful setting - Edit
Lovely outdoor courtyard and cosy restaurant for dining. Great selection of tapas but the highlight has to be their delicious pizzas. Great selection of wines and home brewed craft beers.

Food is normally served an hour after opening, for example lunch is at 1330 despite being open at 12
Dinner is 2030 although open for drinks at 1930

Delicious pizzas - Edit
A lot of vegan and vegetarian pizzas. They have great vegan cheese. They also have some other vegan options like croquettes. They should add more protein options like tofu or Heura.

Best food in Girona! - Edit
My husband and I were here for a cycling trip and have really struggled to find a good vegetarian meal. We tried to come here before we started the trip but they do have limited days/hours that they are open. We were able to visit for lunch before leaving and it was amazing. All vegetarian and vegan options!

Vegan pizzas - Edit
Restaurant with lots of pizzas that can be veganised, and other vegan food like croquettes. The vegan cheese on the pizzas is melted and tasty. The biggest drawback that I see is that there are no protein options, such as tofu or soy, they are all vegetable pizzas.

A disappointing experience - Edit
We were really looking forward to lunch at El Drac al Cau del Llop after reading all the rave reviews on this site and elsewhere. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a rather disappointing experience.
Read moreThings didn't start well when we turned up at the alleged opening time of 130pm to find the place locked up and no sign of life. We were just about to give up & go elsewhere when they finally opened their doors 15 minutes later. Things never really got much better from there on in.
The menu indicated that 30 of their dishes were or could be made vegan. The vegan items are marked clearly, but we asked our waitress what else could be veganised. She said everything other than three specific dishes! So we made our choices... and were then told that two other dishes that we'd picked couldn't be veganised after all, which was very frustrating.
Finally we managed to place our order and eventually around 215pm our food began to arrive. In summary: the olives were nice but it really is hard to go wrong, the mushroom croquettes were very good, the pan con tomate was an awful, soggy mess & the padron peppers were just about OK. The spicy pizza - I forget its name - was neither bad nor good. I guess average is a fair assessment. The base was excessively crispy & there was way too much garlic for my liking... and I'm a big fan of garlic! So, overall, a mixed bag. I'd expected so much better.
Prices are fair - €35 or so between two of us, including a glass of wine each is reasonable. It's just a shame the quality wasn't what it could have been.

Local muy agradable con variedad de tapas y platos. La mayoría de cosas se pueden hacer veganas. Las pizzas están muy buenas y las ponen con queso vegano casi todas si lo pides. Está muy bien ubicado si vienes de visita a Girona.

The most delicious pizza I've ever eaten!!!!! The vegan mozarella was melting in my mouth.......The dessert with raspberry jam and mango sauce had such an unique taste! The waitress was friendly and welcoming! Loved it all!

An absolutely stunning and intimate little place on the edge of Girona’s old town with the added bonus of a sun drenched outdoor terrace if you catch it at the right time of day. We sat inside and had a delicious craft beer to start from their extensive range of locally brewed ales. Food is essentially vegetarian tapas with many vegan options and a selection of pizzas which can generally all be prepared as vegan. We shared a portion of sensational mushroom croquettes and a quite sublime fungi pizza rich with garlic and oregano. Utterly delicious. The majority of the wines are labelled as vegan so a couple of glasses of house white also found themselves on the table along with a litre bottle of much needed ice cold still water. This is a place that needs to be visited a couple of times at different times of the day to fully appreciate its’ homely splendour.

Vegetarian Revolution Arrives in a Small Spanish Town with El Drac - Edit
One of the very few vegetarian restaurants in San Feliu de Guixols is a winner. My husband and I went out to dinner here on our date night. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. It is located on a quiet street with few people passing by. You must order off the menu during weekdays, and water (sin gas) or a glass of wine are included with the menu. There are a variety of appetizers; my husband and I ordered the mushrooms and the gnocchi pasta. As entrees we had (and highly recommend) the canelones con soy and the housemade veggie burger. This veggie burger is soft and crumbly and unlike any veggie burger you have ever eaten. For dessert (postres) we had the lemon sorbet and cranberry cheesecake. The food was overall excellent, and we will be returning to this restaurant (with the supercool name) the next time we are in Spain.

Everything was homemade and they were very friendly. They have a small terrace but I sat inside to enjoy the aircon on a very hot day. It’s a shame they didn’t have a salad since it was so hot. The lady working there was very friendly so an extra star.

Nice restaurant with a lot of vegan options. All but a few dishes can be made vegan. There aren't a lot of options in Costa Brava, so I definitely recommend it. I ordered the garlic pizza with vegan cheese and enjoyed it. Price was good, especially for the area.
