Hi,
Firstly, thanks for your visit to El cafe.

Secondly, as you mentioned you choose two different dishes from different country cusine. For sure there is no comparison, its totaly different.

Thirdly, our salad bowls are quite medium size big, you order with 3 pcs of falafel which is just 65.000 vnd.
Thats actually more than a valued. Making falafel we have to import chickpeas from abroad. To vietnam,

At last, thanks for your review, have a great time in muine.

See you))

Yummy, but a little strange

Everything we had was super yummy. But the staff hasn't been friendly at all, we didn't feel welcome at all. Also, I'm not so sure if this really is an all vegan place??? It has a lot of cheese and yoghurt and the menu doesn't say a word about vegan... Felt a bit strange, especially considering the last review

Thank you so much for your review,

We sorry for your feeling not friendly with our new staff, we increase more people to work because of high season.

Staff need to be welcome everyone and everytime. I will work with this issue to resolve.

About to make you 100% sure? Please tell us what we can do for you? Mostly, we invite our customers to see how to make vegan dairy at the time when we needed. This is a commercial cooking class (25$ per person).

Reason its not mentioned vegan in menu because people who are vegetarian they think that they dont have cheese in there cooking. We try once to put vegan board outside kitchen, In result vegetarian guest didnt come much.

Hope to see you again))

Strong doubts it is vegan

Be very careful if you are allergic to dairy/vegan. Having thoroughly experienced vegan cheese making myself (professionally) I can tell that their cheeses are NOT vegan. I told about my doubts to the chef and he didn't even try to say something!
Your decision anyway.
Good flavours otherwise on the rest of the menu.

hello)) thanks for your review,

we remember your visit,

firstly, you didn't inform waiter about your allergic from any nuts or soy or anything. please inform in advance before making your order about allergic of any nuts or spices, we every time cook the way our guests want it, we apologize if our waiter forget to ask your allergic conditions.

second, as you mentioned (professionally and personally) experienced making cheese by your self?

( Paid visit 25$ per pax per cooking class)

For sure there are millions of videos on internet about vegan cheese,
may be you using one of them to be professional.

We make cheese from our generation to generation experience.
In Vietnam we are producing vegan cheese since 2013

After spoke with our team about your Questionings.
Our chef do not speaks English neither understand. May be you talk with Indian waiter. he understand clearly, but practicing in English to speak and learn more.

The veg options in mui ne are slim. Really happy we came across this based in the food court. Prices are reasonable and the food is tasty. Cute and cosy setting. Will be visiting again for sure

A good option

A great environment, based in a food market. I didn't enjoy the food though but think that was just my taste. The staff were friendly.

Pros: Plenty of vegan options

Cons: the 'prawn' toast is absolutely nothing like it...

Really lovely.

Great selection of vegan and vege food. Lovely friendly staff and quick service. Everything cooked fresh and bought out to us as and when it was ready. The children loved the fruit shakes and all at good low prices. all 4 of us ate a huge meal and had drinks for 180,000 dong (£6).

Pros: Lots of choice , Friendly staff, Simple and tasty

el cafe is in the food court of Mui Ne, at the tourist mile. concept is you sit on a table with a number and can order on one of the roundabout 15 restaurants around. music from the 70ies. el cafe is a mostly Indian restaurant. fresh and tasty food. we had the falafel menu with hibiscus lemonade. delicious. also the north Indian menu with tomato tofu and naan sandwiches. was great.

Pros: Food and drinks, location , service

Cons: expensive for vietnamese conditions

Nice food slow service

Pretty sure this isn’t all vegan, they have paneer and yoghurt on the menu. There’s a short passage at the start of the menu that explains that they don’t use meat or eggs though. This wasn’t an issue for us but be aware.
We got the chilli potatoes and a paneer shwama wrap, they were both good.
The hibiscus lemonade was really tasty too!
We were just annoyed about the service, they gave us our potatoes really quick but the wrap took ages. The couple on the table next to us sat down after us, ordered after us but got all their food and paid and left before we got our wrap. We think they forgot about us even though we were sat right in front of the kitchen, and when we asked about it they just said it’s coming and didn’t apologise.

Pros: Tasty food, really good hibiscus lemonade

Cons: They forgot about half our order and didn’t apolog

A+++

Found this incredible joint in the mui ne food court, one day before I left. They do, undoubtedly, THE best vegan cheese I've had throughout the whole of Asia!!! Such amazing food and the owner is lovely. This is a must for vegans and non vegans everywhere, you won't be disappointed, I promise.

Pros: Chill vibe , Incredible food , Best cheese in Asia

Great food and service!

An overwhelmingly large menu of vegan dishes from all around the world. We especially enjoyed the ice cream and paneer cheese - all made without any animal products - from soya and nuts. 100% vegan!
Also, they're serving brown rice. I can gladly declare that their food is not only tasty but also the most healthy of what you can find in Vietnam.

All Vegan International Food

Delicious food with such novelties as vegan cheese and yogurt sauce. Had the Indian food, hummus, falafel, burritos, and looking forward to going back for more meals. Some of the best hot sauce we have had in SE Asia. Accommodating and friendly staff. Portions are on the smaller side, but the flavors are so nice it makes up for it. Plates seem nutritionally well balanced.

Pros: All vegan, A wide variety of foods served

Cons: Slightly more expensive , Smaller portions

Best food and Vietnam!

Amazing food! Very good quality, the chef definately knows what he's doing! Everything we had was awesome, including the drinks. Yes it's more expensive that other places but it's totally worth it! Everything is vegan!

Pros: Fully vegan, amazing food!

good range of Indian food

In a nicely presented food court. Signage states that food is vegetarian but the owner assured me that everything was vegan and the “cheese” is all vegan too. I had the North Indian thali (115k vnd) and a paneer curry (95k vnd) on consecutive days both were good and appeared quicker than my partners pizza from another stall. Lots of other stalls serving meat in the same food court. Nice atmosphere.

Pros: western food available

Cons: moderately expensive by local standards, dishes vegetable and cheese based, no beans / tofu

all vegan!

A very nice all vegan place! They have the best smoothies and Indian cakes! However, the food is nothing special and it takes quite a long time before the food arrives. My friend and I waited for 45min and we were the only costumers.. it is kinda expensive as well compared to Vietnamese prices in general. I got a salad and I could easily eat 4 times as much as the portion I got.

Huge variety

All vegan. Inside an outdoor ‘food court’ alongside other (non-vegan) places and bar. Amazing range of options, the chef is obviously extremely well accomplished, from Italian pastas, falafel, curries, Asian foods, even vegan ice-cream.

Edit: Staying nearby, I ate here several times over a few days. On the last occassion I was told I had been undercharged the previous time. I was quite surprised because I tend to calculate in my head what something should cost before going to pay. It is possible I was indeed undercharged - but also possible that it was a mistake on their behalf. Either way, the encounter was a strange one and left an element of doubt in my mind. Hence I’ve updated my review of El Cafe to 4/5.

Amazing food and good service

Everything I tried on the menu pleasantly surprised me. Their menu is quite special as they use vegan yoghurt and cottage cheese in a lot of their dishes. My friend who is a meat eater also enjoyed the dishes, and even decided to skip all the meat/seafood dishes that they offer at the food court, just so she could eat El Cafe’s food (now that says smth). I would definitely recommend eating here at least once when you are in Mui Ne! The service is also great! The owner speaks fluent English and are ready to answer any questions you might have.

Pros: Good food, Good service, Special dishes

Cons: None, that there is no El Cafe restaurant in my own coun

international veggie food court stall

One of the options while in Food Court, so don't look for the EL Cafe, rather for Food Court Dong Vui (big green sign). There you'll find it easily. The two boys from New Delhi I met there yesterday seemed like they've been here for a while, speak Hindi, English, Russian and Vietnamese. The food is delicious but a bit pricier when comparing with local dishes. They offer mix of Indian/Mexican/international dishes.

Pros: extensive menu, really nice drinks

Cons: a bit pricier
