Read moreI have been a fan of Mitase in Huntington Beach for many years so I was very excited to hear about their sister store in Dana Point. This new location did not disappoint. The menu was varied and offers Asian food, American style food as well as a variety of desserts. Oh and they have beer and wine if you choose.
I loved the atmosphere, decor, and the feel of this new location it’s more polished.
We ordered the spring rolls and broccoli beef with a side of brown rice. The quality of ingredients were outstanding and everything was prepared beautifully. I have to say the beef could have had a little more flavor, but still delicious.
The staff was very attentive and helpful offering suggestions and checking in on us.

Vegan Alfredo - Edit
I never see vegan alfredo pasta as an option, and they did not miss. This pasta was so good, it tasted homemade, it also felt nice and healthy because of all the veggies! My bf got a burger which I stole a bite of, it was so flavorful! We also shared a tiramisu which was surprisingly light but so so good! The menu had such a large variety of food, definitely has something for everyone!

Because I love Vietnamese Pho, I decide on it as it is the best bet. The server suggested to go with the vegan protein combo, ham, beef, and tofu.
I love the pho comes with lots of vegetables and sufficient amount of protein. The broth was very light which was great. But it did lack of the traditional Vietnamese Pho broth, anise and cinnamon. I would still order it again when I want a delicious light vegetable noodle soup.
I would definite come back and try other dishes.

This is a really, really good vegan restaurant! In Dana point, it’s right across from the beach and in a gorgeous neighborhood. The food, service, and vibe of the place is immaculate! I got the Thai iced tea (highly recommend), sushi, spring rolls, Alfredo, and chicken curry. The sushi and chicken curry were my favorites but everything was great. The flavor and presentation of each dish was perfect! I didn’t get a chance to try the desserts but hopefully next time!

I ordered takeout for a snack, so I got fresh rolls with their homemade tofu sausage. The rolls were a little tough (I think it was from the sausage) and the peanut dip was super sweet. I think just for a vegan restaurant snack, it was ok. If I was in my home, I would make these from scratch and enjoy them a bit more. I can’t speak on any of the other dishes- I see the positive reviews!

It’s a pretty standard Asian menu with a few random “American” things - Alfredo, chicken burger & fries, etc. Vegan meat options, tofu, and even lentils!! There were a few exceptionally unique dishes. The vibe was cute and clean.

Great find, thank you Happy Cow!! We enjoyed our lunch of pad Thai & orange chicken. The pad Thai was awesome. Perfect spice level. The orange chicken was very tasty, but I do like a little heat. Service was stellar and enjoyed a nice tasty beverage. Mint tea lemonade.

A friend recommended this place and I am so glad I stopped by! Come hungry as I did. I tried the chow mein and a Rainbow Roll appetizer. Service was so fast, I think like only five minutes to get the chow mein. It was really good too!

Definitely everything I was hoping it would be. Totally vegan so you can order to your hearts content and not have to worry. I loved the boneless buffalo wings with that real authentic buffalo wing taste. The vegan beef with broccoli and the garlic sauce was exceptional. I’ll be back tomorrow!

We enjoyed dinner very much, though the portions were so big, we ended up having to take most of it home. Definitely Asian-based cuisine with a California twist. Everything we ordered was good. The staff was nice and helpful.

Hidden gem in Dana Point/Laguna area - Edit
This restaurant has an exceptional blend of Asian/American vegan dishes. Their spring rolls are fresh/tasty and the peanut sauce is to die for. Try the “Beef” Asian salad which is a large portion and delicious. My wife loved the Pad Thai. Please, please support this restaurant because there are no vegan/vegetarian Asian options near Dana Point/Laguna.

Perfect Fix for Chinese Food Craving - Edit
The food here is so tasty, even the non-vegan in our group loved it. The fake meats are so good, especially the chicken and beef! We tried the garlic fried rice (get it instead of white, it was delicious!), orange chicken, and Hong Kong chow fun. The crispy thick noodles were delicious, I wish I could find noodles fried like that elsewhere! Would love to come back. Lots of parking in the lot.

Excellent food. Very good service. Very clean place. We were disappointed because they didn’t have the burger and there was nothing similar. Another thing was that they brought my food first and we had to wait a little for my husband’s, but not a big deal. We would go back there but it’s far from us. If you are in the area you should try. You won’t regret it.

We ordered delivery via DoorDash, and the food arrived hot and really delicious. I got the Pad Thai, Thai iced tea, and sushi. It was all really delicious and the pad thai had the perfect amount of heat. The sushi was surprisingly really, really good. Enjoyed it a lot and plan on returning the next time I’m in the area.
