Founded in 2019 by Simon Hill & Tanya Smart, this is an 80-seat restaurant that offers plant-based food for everyone to enjoy. Positioned in the Pacific Building, near the entrance to the QT Hotel, Eden features a combination of cosy indoor and outdoor garden seating (with heating for the cooler months). The globally inspired menu covers everything from pizza and buddha bowls to burgers, pasta, share plates, and rotating specials. Serves hand-selected vegan, organic, and minimal intervention wines or cocktails. Reported closed January 2024.

Nice ambience, bad food - Edit
I love a plant based restaurant where I can order anything. Unfortunately there wasn't much on this menu that appealed to me. I got the veggie burger and the patty was like cheap textured soy protein burger patties you get frozen at the grocery store. I couldn't eat it. For the price I was expecting better quality food. I would not return even though they are the only veg place in town.

Rude wait staff - Edit
Unfortunately Eden has hired rude staff ( slamming down of plates and reduced portion sizes) after politely being asked to replace a potentially hazardous cracked glass water bottle.
Read moreWhen this was fed back to staff the manager accused me of being a racist because I identified the waitress as “of likely South American origin “.
This was to identify her and not as a racial slur as the manager accused me of.
We had been many times before to Eden and enjoyed the food previously and found the wait staff generally friendly.Unfortunately it appears quality ( stale slider buns and less filling) as well as halved quantity servings are now being served.
I tried to raise the issue with the co founder,however the manager refused to give me her contact details.
I hope management address these issues as looking at recent google reviews I am far from alone in my experience.

Read moreFood looks nice and has a modern and colorful touch. In summary, most of what we had tasted okay. The pizza was better than expected, while the pasta dish was a disappointment. I liked the potato donut best, but it was very small. The cocktails were pretty cool in my opinion.
Food and drinks here are rather pricey, though. Regadless, staff was not very friendly and had a bit of a snotty attitude.
The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor (not ground floor!) and has a lot of seating - indoors as well as on a patio outdoors. The atmosphere was cold and hipsterish.

Started with the popcorn cauliflower, then I got the delicious ikigai bowl, my boyfriend got the burger he called perfect, and then we shared the delicious cookie skillet. The manager was our server and she was lovely. Can’t wait to go back!

Top notch international vegan food, beautiful location - Edit
We shared the calamari, cauliflower, mushroom pizza and gnocchi. The pizza had a delightful sweetness to it, the gnocchi was creamy and cheesy, the cauliflower was suitably crispy and I have no idea what the calamari was made from: delightful and fascinating.

I wanted to go out for lunch in Bondi so I booked a table here. We were seated in the courtyard of the hotel building in which the restaurant is located. Just looking at the menu you wonder why everything is so expensive. Like a f*cking san choy bow for $24?! We had this, as well as the Giuseppe’s Pizza and the truffle fries. Everything was good, although I laughed at the single meatball on each of the four slices of the pizza. The fries were a standout - utterly divine with their truffle salt and aioli. We ordered some nice cocktails too and I accept they’re never cheap, but really I felt I could’ve eaten the same food for less elsewhere.

This was one of my favourite restaurants when it opened, but now it’s awful - the quality has gone down while prices are going up.

I went here for my birthday and would expect a bit of kindness from someone here but the waiter slammed plates on the table, messed up our order, spoke very rudely and wasn’t willing to help with special dietary requirements. He was a little nicer towards the end but pretty poor form overall. There was no warmth or friendliness from anyone.
They charged us $2 just for chilli flakes. Even much more expensive, reputable establishments have not done this.
The pizza was literally 4 pieces of flat bread with no topping, sauce or flavour. There was no “white sauce” - it was a dollop of something resembling the botanical cuisine. The burger used to have more ingredients and filling in it, but now just a beyond patty shoved into a burger bun. I finished it in 5 minutes.
The fact that this place is charging fine dining prices without even delivering a quality experience is pathetic..
I would be extremely embarrassed to bring anyone to this place from now on. I feel sad that my birthday was wasted here.

I've been hanging to visit Eden for a long time, and we finally made it over there! It is risky to have highly expectations, but in this case, they were met fully! The food was delicious, and the pizza base was cooked to perfection - the perfect texture of both crispy and soft! Highly recommend a visit, we are looking forward to going back again for the pizza.

Beautiful, chic place with nice cocktails and delicious, fun vegan food. Great to share. We tried almost everything on the menu - our favorites were the vegan calamari, the sliders, the mushroom pasta, the masaman curry and the pizza. We gluten-free pizza base was also incredible - so nice and fluffy! Also our friends who aren’t vegan loved it and will come back. xx
