Healthy, homemade, happy. - Edit
The food is very homemade tasting. The staff were so kind and prepared the food freshly and will make it vegan sans dairy if you ask. The taste is simple and healthy, like grown in the garden without additives. I mixed the gratin in my ramen to create a veggie soup. Charming interior and location, like someone’s home. Looking forward to trying the tofu steak next time.

Good atmosphere, kind staff but a bit bland food - Edit
I had ordered vegetable gratin priced 15000, sadly it was too bland. Despite the kind staffs and atmosphere, I cannot rate higher than 3 due to lack of taste and flavour while the dish was expensive. Hope it will get better in future.

Really cute restaurant - Edit
The restaurant itself is super cute, being in an individual single storey house, which is very unusual in Busan! Location is great too, with some outdoor space, again uncommon in Busan. I will come back in the summer for sure.
Read moreThe food was very fresh, nothing felt processed or over-complicated.
There was 3 of us and we all enjoyed it very much.
The staff were very kind. I tried my best Korean, but they also speak English, so don't worry if you don't speak Korean!
People who are used to eating spicy food might find the dishes a bit bland, but for my taste buds the flavours were perfectly subtle.
Pros: Plenty of space between each table, The dressing that came with one of the salads!
Cons: It would be good to have salt & pepper on tables

Nice space but food was fairly bland - Edit
We ordered the tofu steak and the bibimbap, both were pretty bland, I wouldn’t go back there. Although limited in Busan, there’s still places with much more delicious food. The space was nice and the service was good, but we were both underwhelmed with the food.

Really fresh - Edit
Really fresh and light food, we ordered the tofu bibimbop - felt more of a western twist but not doused in oil like we have found with others.

Ecotopia is heaven! - Edit
Stomped here on a warm day in order to grab lunch before closing. So glad we did.
Read moreStunning location away down a side entrance, thankfully my partner found it.
Inside was so clean and just peaceful. Service was quick and she spoke English and explained the menu in detail. Ordered broccoli and mushroom which was very filling and came with kimchi and pickled radish which I was obsessed about. The owner delivered the food and chatted about Busan and asked if we needed recommendations which was touching. She was well travelled and told us if her adventures. I was so glad we found this place and wished I could have gone more!
Absolutely recommend this place for lunch and dinner. Food was lovely and in a peaceful and beautiful premises. Still dreaming of the radish but I’m determined to make it back in Scotland! ❤️
Pros: Food divine, Decor peaceful, Staff and owner lovely

Delicious dishes in a sweet house - Edit
The restaurant is located in a little house behind the street which gives it a lovely ambiance. The menu is entirely vegetarian with some vegan dishes. I chose the Eco curry which was absolutely delicious (one of the best I had in Korea). Others ate the vegetables gratin and the salad. Every dish was plentiful and they seems to have change the banchan (previously non-veg kimchi) by pickled cucumbers. The staff was also really nice and speaks English.

Great taste and atmosphere - Edit
Had the vegetable gratin dish and was pleasantly surprised with the flavor! Comes with a small side salad (iceberg lettuce, red onion, and microgreens), pickled cucumber, and the main course of a vegetable medley covered in vegan cheese--delicious!

Nice atmosphere but chosen dish was disappointing - Edit
Nice atmosphere and staff are friendly. I ordered the gratin and was very disappointed. the description didn't mention all the ingredients and overall the taste wasn't great. Also over priced. Please note that the kimchi is NOT suitable for vegetarians/vegans.

Nothing special - Edit
Very sweet staff/ owners and a lovely ambiance. The food is rather bland and as mentioned in another review iceberg lettuce makes up a large portion of most plates. My 4 yr old son had the tofu patty and ate that part of his plate quickly and easily.

Delicious food - Edit
We loved the food here. Everything is simple, but nice. I had the tofu steak which is a ridiculous name for something which is nothing like a steak, which might confuse people. It's essentially a patty. Husband had a gratin minus the cheese, although it comes with mushrooms which aren't mentioned on the menu. Lovely staff and really nice inside.

Great Atmosphere and Food - Edit
Friendly and welcoming staff. Food was delicious. Most items were vegan. The restuarant itself is attached to a bookstore that sponsors the arts in Busan and hosts children's humanities study groups. The grounds are amazing. Highly recommend.

Tasty but paltry portions, not very vegan-friendly - Edit
This place has a pretty atmosphere, but I wouldn’t highly recommend coming here if you’re vegan; there are better options. For the price, the tofu steak was mostly a plate of iceberg lettuce. The tofu steak was flavorful but mostly in part to high oil content, not so much actual food. If they added more nutritious vegetables to the plate and increased the portion sizes, it could be worth the price. Also my non vegan friend and I tried to order the eggplant with cheese on only half or on the side, but it was totally contaminated by cheese and so I didn’t get to try it. The staff got defensive about their mistake instead of offering to correct it. With better training and education this place could be nice. I’m afraid I won’t return unless I hear about improvements.

Peaceful Eatery - Edit
I tried all of the menu except vegetable gratin because it contains cheese. I didn't know their curry also contains dairy. I think the menu should clarify the ingredients of each menu. My favorites are tofu steak and tomato spagetti. Tomato spagetti is oderable for 2 servings and it was 28,000KRW(14,000 *2). I thought it was 14,000KRW for a big dish for two people but it was served seperately and each cost 14,000KRW. Confusing! But the portion was generous and very delicious. I love the eco-friendly atmosphere and the little garden outside. I wish I can sit on the outside table but not allowed.

This is a vegetarian restaurant, with 7-8 main courses. Most of them are vegan, with some lacto-ovo plates (the curries).

Ecotopia has not only exceeded our expectations on comfort korean food, but even in presentation is wonderful! they use paper straws in their cold drinks, handmade crotchet coasters and soy milk is an available option! food is comforting and non-greasy, beautifully presented with greens and amazingly pickled vegetables (and i never liked pickles)!

Cannot say how much I love... - Edit
this restaurant. From the food to the servers, the interior design to the location, nothing is wanting here. As I stepped onto the pathway leading to the deck and double doors awaiting the entrance of the chic restaurant I felt myself transported to a future where Korea was meatless. Where experiences drove the pursuit of happiness and food, experiencing consciously made food, was a social norm and meant to be cherished.
