Very good food - Edit
My husband and I stayed here so we had dinner and breakfast. Both were excellent. The staff are very attentive and the food gorgeous.
Read moreHowever, I don't understand why they don't simply label the menu to save you having to ask what is vegan. When we asked they simply printed out the options. These options were already on the menu, it's not like it was a special vegan menu. We took this sheet into the restaurant so we knew what we could have. So I don't understand why they don't just label the menu, rather than having to print out the options for you to take to dinner. On the breakfast buffet the hot food was clearly labelled.
We were actually here for a special occasion and they left cake in our room, which was a nice surprise. Though it wasn't labelled as vegan so we had to go and check, as I never fully trust anything unless it is labelled!

Great service with separate vegetarian and vegan menus are available on request. With choices for starter, main course and desert.

As this is a traditional Scottish hotel there is a stags head on display in the hall, and there are some old paintings depicting hunting
