they have an animal sanctuary! - Edit
dulcamara is a b&b, a restaurant and an animal sanctuary at the same time. all the people there are absolutely lovely and even if not all speak english very well, they really try.
Read moresince it is on the countryside, you can basically only reach it by car or bike; the next train station is an 1,5h walk (7km) away;-;
🌱the b&b is open everyday, every time of the year i think. dogs and kids are welcome but it's not wheelchair accessible because of stairs
🌱the restaurant is open on weekends only. the food is pretty good and they offer veganised local specialities such as lasagna, ravioli, focaccia and much more. unfortunately, it's on the more expensive side with about 10-15€ for entrée, main and dessert each. [they are financing the sanctuary with the money from the restaurant and b&b.] there is a kid's menu as well with more
it gets very crowded and reservations are mandatory! wheelchair accessible and dogs are allowed.
🌱the sanctuary actually is my favourite part. when I visited, they had 5 sheep, 1 goat, 4 pigs, 7 chicken, 2 cows, 2 donkeys, 1 pony and 3 horses. on the weekends, they are often inside because it's very busy and hence stressful for them. but during the week, the sheep and goat roam around freely, some animals are on the meadow and the others out as well. the premises are open for the public all the time so even if the restaurant is closed, you could come visit the sanctuary.

We had a very delicious vegan (they only serve vegan food) dinner menu here in the middle of the nature. The food was very good and yes, 35€ for a dinner menu per person is not cheap, but it was worth it! Extra plus points for the animal sanctuary concept!
