Love the You're So Vegan! - Edit
The You're So Vegan meal here is great! The scrambled tofu was so good, I finished all of it. I ordered a side of vegan sausage because I wanted to try it and I loved that too. I've been trying to drink less alcohol lately so when my friends ordered mimosas, I ordered the skintastic juice. I absolutely love ginger, I thought this was delicious. I can honestly say that I loved everything I had here, I will definitely be back! The restaurant itself was super cute. It was busy but with 4 people without a reservation, we didn't have to wait too long.

Not the same - Edit
I have been visiting Dream Cafe for 20 years and always order Your So Vegan, Global Dinner and Square Meal. It’s definitely changed over the years and it’s a good option if you find yourself needing breakfast/brunch to accommodate all needs, and needing something in those areas. Personally and sadly, I think I am going to take this one off my list.

Busy but yummy - Edit
Me and my friends went here for the first time on Labor Day. We went around lunch time and it was VERY busy, but we still got seated within 20 minutes. I ordered the You’re So Vegan and it was DELICIOUS!! My friends ordered waffles and pancakes that they said were very underwhelming, so that’s something to keep in mind! I definitely will go here again!

Happening Cafe on Sat Morning - Edit
I’m from out of town and this is a great find. Covered seating outside. Fewer seating options in a wheelchair but some.

Filling breakfast - Edit
Had the “You’re So Vegan “ tofu scramble - really good (a bit spicy). They don’t crumble the tofu - it’s cube so even my picky texture sensitive husband like it! Big portion. Tofu is tossed with salsa, a slice of vegan cheese melted on top. Came with rice and beans - very filling! Located in an outdoor mall

Place With History - Edit
This was my first time visiting Dream Cafe. Why haven’t I ever been here? To my surprise this place has been here since 1988. Became popular after Tom Cruise’s visit back in the day. Many celebrities followed. Today they have 3 options for us vegans. Always make sure to emphasize no dairy since a couple of items are “vegetarian”.

Finally Enjoy Brunch Again - Edit
I went here with a non-veg friend at my suggestion even though I was a little afraid because of previous reviews that someone had accidentally been served meat. I brought this up to my server's attention and he informed me that they switched the veg sausage to patty form (meat is still link) so as to avoid confusion and be 100% sure. That being said, I ordered it and it was tasty (definitely veg). Our service was great as well. Not too many options besides the "you're so vegan" though, but I ordered it and it was really good! This place does seem kind of confused as to it's vibe because it's kind of hipster but there were still a lot of little kids running around. But I was happy with my experience overall.

Pork - Edit
Yes, I assume that got your attention. I've been hearing how Dream Cafe has an amazing Sunday brunch and last weekend I decided to stop over. After looking at the menu, I was really wondering why Dream Cafe was even listed on Happy Cow. More than half of the menu items include a product from a pig. In the end I wound up ordering an omlette with vegetarian sausage (on the inside). When the order came I asked the waiter once again if it was vegetarian sausage and he told me it was. I started eating and thought it seemed quite flavorful but since I've never had real sausage in my life, I wasn't sure if it was just awesome faux sausage but decided to ask my waiter a second time. He told me once again it was vegetarian. When I had eaten all I could, I asked for a to go box. A few small pieces of sausage were still on the plate. I asked the waiter again if they were vegetarian. I may sound paranoid but the restaurant really seemed heavy on the animal products (and not really veg friendly), and I had some serious doubts. The waiter took the stray pieces to the kitchen and within a few minutes the manager was at my table expressing his regrets.

Love Hate - Edit
Loved the food; hated the atmosphere. It looked like it was Mommy Day; kids were running around everywhere and there was food and trash all over the floor. The restaurant is in desperate need of repair...dirty walls, holes in sheetrock, etc. Everytime I think about giving it another try I wonder what the kitchen must look like. Also, the patio was not comfortable.
