Disappointing

We’ve been to Dramanti a few times and always enjoyed it. Not sure if they’ve changed management but our last visit was a shambles. We ordered vegan Okonomiyaki only to be told 25-30 mins later that it wasn’t actually vegan at all. We agreed to have poke bowls instead which we were told included tofu. They didn’t arrive for another good 25 mins by which point we were starving. There was no tofu, the ingredients were a mix of hot and cold vegetables and quinoa which just didn’t work and the sauce was not to our taste at all. I forgot to ask if there was a difference in price between what we ordered and what we got so we basically paid $60 for two bowls of vegetable and quinoa and two cold drinks (which also took over 30 mins to arrive). There were very few other customers in so I’m not sure why everything took so long, other people were served before us who had arrived after us which is my pet peeve of eating out! Will not be back.

Cool place with lots of quality vegan options!

Found this place today thanks to a Happy Cow search. So many vegan options on the menu and in the cabinet. Both sweet and savoury. Fairly priced too.
Staff were wonderful and the place had a great vibe. Would give 5 stars if I could!

Good but not great

Came for breakfast with my partner. We were greeted by friendly staff immediately and offered seats and menus. Table water was brought over straight away and we were invited to order at the counter when ready. Off to a good start!

Menu only has two vegan meal by default, but several other have a vegan option. I was curious what the vegan option for the Breakfast Tacos was, as it contains eggs and bacon, and was advised they swap it for tofu and mushrooms. Sounded good and the staff member said it was her favourite so I ordered that and my partner ordered the Char Vegetable Toastie.

Food came out quickly and was well presented, annoyingly the tacos had pineapple in them which wasn’t listed. Tacos were ok, but the sliced avocado was all together on side, not spread throughout and the tofu was just one long piece - this made it tricky to eat and the blue corn tortillas didn’t stand a chance at housing all the ingredients and so I switched to a knife and fork.

The Char Vegetable Toastie was definitely the hero. The bread was amazing and all the ingredients worked well together.

Coffee was quite good, but I’ve had better. They also had some vegan sweets available including a cookies and cream brownie slice, carrot cake and banana bread. Really wanted to try them, but at $9.90 a pop I felt it was a bit much.

Overall it was an ok breakfast, I’m just glad someone is catering to Vegans as there aren’t many other options in the area. Will probably come back to try another meal at some point, but will definitely be getting the Toastie again!

Pros: Friendly staff, Clearly labelled vegan options

Cons: Expensive sweets

Local Love

I love this little cafe so much! It’s local to us and our go to for vegan options. Nearly everything on the menu can be made vegan and most of the cabinet items are as well! Highly recommend the veggie toastie and raspberry croissants - both vegan of course😄

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Friendly staff, Delicious

Best Vegan Toastie in Brisbane

Dramanti has the best coffee in the bayside area and also the best toastie in Brisbane. It is worth a trip out to the area just to try the toastie. They also have a range of vegan baked goods, all of which are clearly labelled if they are vegan. The kitchen menu has a range of vegan options and many of the vegetarian dishes can be replaced with vegan alternatives. High quality non-dairy milks of all kinds are available. Super friendly staff that are always very helpful. We are here every week and will continue to be for as long as we live in Brisbane.

Pros: Awesome Coffee, Best Toastie in town, Great baked goods

Cons: Parking can be difficult
