A much needed salad and veggie hit! - Edit
We called into Dr Laffa’s on Bathurst on June 12, 2022. The address on this site was incorrect, but luckily the phone number was right and we managed to find it. It’s 3519 Bathurst Street. It is in no way an upmarket restaurant and most people seemed to be getting take out. As we were on holiday in the area we chose to eat in. It’s just a few small tables, but totally adequate. The food was in takeaway containers. The staff were really helpful with pointing out the vegan options and the young lady serving me quizzed me on veganism (she really wants to try it). I had the combo salad with laffa (a bit like a naan bread)and it was SO good. So big I took half back to our apartment. Hubby had the falafel pita bread and a veggie skewer. Again big portions and he couldn’t finish the skewer. I was very glad to have some healthy food after eating rather unhealthily the last few days (airplane food and lots of sandwiches as we are doing the tourist thing round Toronto). Would I eat here again? Definitely yes.

Cons: On the pricey side. $21 for a big salad and bread, Basic surroundings, not somewhere to propose

Huge Portions! - Edit
Just tried the falafel laffa. Good thing I was hungry. Massive portion and great tasting. Honestly for $10.05 including tax, this thing can feed two people easily. Highly recommended. Some seating within.

Come here for the hummus... - Edit
note: this is a review for the other location
Read moreCome here for the hummus... but stay for the eggplant.
Vegans are hummus connoisseurs, and this hummus did not disappoint. Creamy without being heavy, it was delicious. Of note, the fried eggplant was delicious.
This restaurant is in the middle of an industrial landscape and thus off the beaten path. They have a second location, too.
However, despite the odd location, it is a local favourite. It has been heralded as the #1 falafels in Toronto (as per blogTO readers) and also reviewed on the Food Network, so it has been getting a lot of great press.
Their specialty is also the laffa bread (vegan) although I wasn't too impressed with it. Come for the hummus, not the laffa bread. But try the bread while you're here.
Pros: hummus!
Cons: location
