Vegan quarter at Roppongi Hills - Edit
Nearby where we were staying. Serves meat and fish but seems the ethos is for people to try to eat more plant based or eat it once a week. Vegan options clearly labelled. Had a vegan mushroom panini, vegan cookie and a plant milk coffee which was very nice. Also sell 4 Vegan salad options.Upstairs and outside seating. Also serve all vegan ice creams that we went back for another day that were very nice. Nearby to Oscar Wilde vegan doughnuts and Habo vegan curry too.

Biscotti are good - Edit
The biscotti were great, but the matcha & azuki beans muffin tasted kinda dry and not really freshly baked (maybe due to the fact that we were there at 8pm).
Read moreThey also have vegan maple & walnut ice cream but kinda expensive (400 yen)

This panini is nothing special, but the ice cream is amazing - Edit
As you can see from the photo, the panini wasn't very inspiring. A little bland. Not bad, but also not worth ¥800.
Read moreThe ice cream on the other hand is amazing. I tried the coffee and soy almond flavors and the 2 scoop version is VERY generous. The cone is also delicious.

Ice cream saved the day - Edit
We happened upon this place by accident while coming from Oscar Wilde (there are SO many vegan friendly places around here!) and couldn’t resist ice cream on a hot day. A gentleman with a lovely smile offered us samples of the ice cream. I went with the soy almond and was very glad I did— delicious, creamy, generous portion. A plus!

Amazing vegan treats & food - Edit
On the way to Mori Art Museum, we randomly happened here to buy coffee. The coffee (with soy milk!) was great. We returned for a lunch - the vegan bowls were very good. Vegan ice cream options for dessert - amazing! Highly recommended. Multiple options, with vegan ones clearly presented.

Great Ice-Cream - Edit
We happened to walk by the newly opened Roppongi Hills location of Down To Plant and decided to take a look, not intending to buy anything. The staff very generously offered us to taste the ice-cream, and it was so good that I had to order some! I tasted pretty much all of them, but ended up getting Soy Almond and Maple Walnut Bliss. Sooo good!!!

Best ice cream! - Edit
Down to plant is a very new location right off the Roppongi station. They have a nice selection of vegan muffins, cookies, and especially ice cream! They have a nice amount of seating upstairs as well as shaded seating outside. Really a treat on warm days!

Sometimes the owner is there, he grew up in Massachusetts if I recall. Great guy and was really excited to show off his soy based ice cream!

Lovely Space - Edit
We stopped in and were greeted by very friendly and warm staff who showed us what they had to offer that day :). We got a lemonade and a corn scone which were super good! We would’ve tried more but had just eaten at another place prior. Would recommend coming in! Very English friendly too

Lovely place with awesome vegan options! - Edit
The second branch of Down to Plant at Roppongi Hills is located about a minute's walk from Exit No. 1b at Roppongi Station. I recently learned that Down to Plant is part of a company whose CEO is the founder and ex-President of Tully’s Coffee Japan. Since I have read a couple of his books, I was intrigued to learn that he opened this vegan-friendly cafe at the former location of the third branch of Tally’s Coffee. It turned out I visited the store on their first day of opening which was quite exciting!
Read moreThe store has a lovely ambience with a natural woody interior that feels warm and cosy. The indoor seating space is upstairs. On nice days, there will be seating outside in front of the shop.
Down to Plant offers a wide selection of vegan options. Even though there are only two plant-based salad bowls per day, which change on a weekly basis. For the sweet tooth, however, there are eight flavours of vegan ice cream! On top of that, baked cakes, muffins, cookies, biscotti, etc. are also available! (I was told that all of the baked sweets are plant-based, but I recommend checking with the staff before ordering.) I hope they will clearly label their vegan food in future. It just takes a simple "Vegan" sign.
My order choices: The Earth Bowl was delicious, filled with freshly chopped vegetables on a bed of five-grain rice. The organic coffee was tasty. Two flavours of vegan ice cream, Soy Almond and Very Berry Party, with crushed biscotti topping, were amazing and fulfilled my craving for dessert!
Each salad bowl costs around 1,200 JPY. A single cup of ice cream is 410 JPY, and a double cup goes for 730 JPY. Beverages and cold press juices range from 400 JPY to about 900 JPY.
All in all, the food was great, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would love to come back again real soon!

a cafe with a variety of vegan baked goods and ice creams - Edit
Down to Plant's new branch in Roppongi Hills has a wide range of freshly baked cakes and cookies, which are all vegan.
Read moreThey also have a couple of vegan salad bowls (the same menu as the main shop), but they were sold out when I went there in the late afternoon.
All the ice creams are vegan, but chocolate toppings contain dairy.
It is not described on the menu, but an additional 50 yen will be charged for soy milk (short soy latte for 520 yen).
It's a shame they don't have any vegan panini, but there is plenty of seats available (22 on the second floor and 32 on the terrace along the Roppongi-dori Avenue), so it is certainly a good place to have a break and chat with friends.
