Nice addition to the Richmond restaurant scene. - Edit
Found Don Senor on Happy Cow app and was excited to try vegan Queso! They have the vegan options labeled in white so it’s easy to pick what you want. They said they no longer serve vegan queso, which was a bummer. The rest of our meal of nachos was delicious and customized.

I honestly didn’t expect this place to be that good, kind of like a knockoff chipotle, but I was pleasantly surprised. Everything was very well labeled and there was even a sticker advertising the Happy Cow app!!

Wonderful place with a lot of vegan options. They have jackfruit, meatless crumbles, tofu for your meat alternatives. They also have vegan queso, and vegan mozzarella-style shreds. They also sell vegan brownies made by Fennel and Fig, a local vegan bakery.

I Must EXPRESS my Love for this Restaurant - Edit
Don Senor Express is a Mexican restaurant similar to Moe’s or Qdoba. Their vegan “meats” are tofu, jackfruit, and crumbles. All of the extra stuff, beans, lettuce, salsa, etc, is clearly labeled if it is vegan. They have vegan queso and vegan ranch, but it costs extra. This is a must eat if you love Mexican food.

Essentially works the same way as Chipotle/Q’Doba, etc. but there are vegan alternatives to pretty much everything. And not just one alternative: there’s an option of tofu or meatless crumbles (which are both delicious), and vegan queso as well as vegan cheese shreds. The guacamole and the sauces were all vegan, and they even had vegan ranch (although they were out when I went). The rest of the veggie items are fairly standard, but they’re all fresh and tasty, and there’s a nice quinoa blend to sub for rice if you want. The employee who helped me was super nice too, and was pleased to help accommodate vegans.
