Cheap fast food before the flight - Edit
Cheap fast food. Opens at 10 a.m., food is ready real fast. Didnt like the taste. No tofu and could have been more vegetables in the yakisoba.

那覇空港国際線4階で食べれます! - Edit

Delicious tempura - Edit
I rarely go to a non purely vegan restaurant. But I’m happy that this restaurant exists at the airport as we were too hungry when we arrived. We tried the Okinawan vegetable tempura set. The soup was very interesting (it wasn’t a miso soup) as it had plenty of seeweeds (which I like). We were very lucky as the vegetable tempura of the day has beni imo (purple yam). It was so delicious! They use Okinawan vegetables, and I think the seeweed in the soup is also Okinawan.
Read moreTake note to those who will take a domestic flight: the restaurant is located at the international terminal, so you have to walk a bit to get there.

Good option in Naha airport - Edit
It's located on the 4th floor of international departures, before security checks. There are 4 clearly labelled vegan options. We tried a spicy curry that was really good, the soba that was just OK, and another curry that was nice. Service is fast. Portions are large and it's really cheap (the 3 meals came for less than 3000¥!) For some dishes they even offer the choice between 2 sizes.

Cons: Soba wasn't great

5 options for vegan meal - Edit
I was surprised to see there were about 5 vegan meal options! There were halal options as well.
Read moreWe had a tempura don, and a set of tempura and soba. I like everything they offered, especially the soba. It tasted a little different and softer compared to the regular soba. I also liked it that they offered us some tempura of some local Okinawa vegetables. We became so full after eating, but it was not expensive at all!
We went to this restaurant on day 1 of our trip to Okinawa. We wanted to eat there again on the final day, but unfortunately it was closed.
Instead, we went to the Hanamaru Udon right across the hall (same building, same floor) and had some Oroshi Shoyu Udon. It was vegan.
Pros: Multiple vegan/halal options , Many types of vegetable tempura, Great soba
Cons: Wasn’t open when we went back

Very good - Edit
This place is a saving grace when everything else in the food court was non vegan. It’s on the fourth floor. Take the escalator up from the intl/domestic departures.
Read moreI got veg tofu rice. It was pretty good. A bit salty. The soup was very strong from the seaweed smell .. or maybe fish so I didn’t drink it. Added some Chili pepper to the rice 👍🏻
Also had a yakisoba to go for the next leg of the journey.

Five vegan options clearly marked - Edit
This is the only place in Okinawa's airport that has vegan options clearly marked on the menu.
Read moreWe didn't ask about the miso soup, but after reading the comments I'm wondering if it was suitable for vegans at all.
We had the cold soba (this didn't have miso soup in the set), the tendon (tempura domburi) and the Chinese style tofu and veg bowl.
All was good, especially the tofu.
I have no idea if the sauces provided were suitable for vegans. Unfortunately we don't speak Japanese and hunger made us forget to ask.
It seems to me that being vegan is a true minefield in Japan, where even ingredients or products that are vegan in most countries are not so here!
Pros: Vegan options clearly marked
Cons: Not 100% sure of the ingredients of the sauces

Nice vegan options in Naha Airport - Edit
Read more in this vegan Okinawa guide: https://itravelforveganfood.com/vegan-okinawa-guide/
Read moreDonBuri Nantoya is a food court stall in Okinawa Naha Airport 4/F that provides vegan options. Options include a seaweed veggie tempura bowl, veggie curry rice, mapo tofu bowl and soy chicken bowl. On the allergy chart, the circle means it’s made without 5 pungent spices and triangle means it contains the spices.
There are people who said the miso soup is not vegan. I couldn’t find information on their website. So if you are unsure, ask them to not include the miso soup.
The tempura rice bowl uses mixed vegetables and mozuku, which is a type of seaweed that’s naturally found in Okinawa). It’s overall nice, but a little bit bland in taste.
Pros: Vegan options, Reasonable price
Cons: Tempura is a bit bland and oily

Vegan Options but... - Edit
THE MISO SOUP IS NOT VEGAN OR VEGETARIAN! We only discovered this after questioning the staff after we already received our meal.
Read moreLocation: It’s a little tricky to find. There’s a connecting area, called renketsu, in Japanese. The food court is in this area. Beware that there *is* another food court near the domestic arrivals but this is the wrong place. It’s in the 4th floor “renketsu” food court.
I had the soy meat doburi. I found it to be really bland but I was happy to have a vegan option as soon as I landed. I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit if other restaurants were open and accessible.
My partner had the tempura bowl and he said it was delicious. That’s why I’m giving 3 stars instead of 2.
Not the best but it’ll work in a pinch.
Pros: 2 vegan options (Tempura and Soymeat Domburi), 2 vegetarian options (curry and mapo tofu)
Cons: Fish broth in miso soup , Bland , A little hard to find

Definitely returning - Edit
Great value and great options in the airport at this place. I had to hunt for it for ages and nearly gave up, it’s right at the top (4th floor), but glad I didn’t! Really tasty and will come back again when I’m next at this airport.
