Serves meat, vegan options available. Famous garden centre whose cafe reportedly offers one vegan option, occasionally has vegan cake slices, dairy-free chocolate, and nut-based cheese. The frozen section sells cheap frozen fruit and vegetables. Open Mon-Sat 09:00-17:00, Sun 10:00-16:30.

Disappointing - Edit
3 times we’ve been here for lunch and 3 times we’ve been told the vegan options were’t available, seems they don’t stock enough which I’m guessing is due to lack of demand perhaps - staff are friendly and apologetic though.

Disappointing - Edit
We were surprised that they had a bespoke vegan section and decided to give it ago. Unfortunately the quality was pretty poor, both meals felt like reheated packaged meals.

Disappointed - Edit
Admittedly we visited during Covid restriction but had to wait an hour for available seat for two of us and when we were seated found that the few vegan options were unavailable. Ended up with a coffee and left.

Good intentions, poor execution - Edit
They seem to have added a vegan section to the menu, with some nice sounding options. I had a ciabatta and it was a bit dry and bland. When the food arrived it had a side of non-vegan coleslaw (brilliant! 🤣).

Cons: Not very tasty, No cake/ sweet vegan options

Love the garden centre, love the options in the food hall, love the cheap frozen fruit and obvs love the vegan chocolate cake in the cafe! Also just saying, love their statue collection just outside the cafe- super cool!
Read moreSecond visit there were no vegan cakes this may be due to different staff on the rota that week, food hall was still brilliant!
Now offer range of vegan lazy day treats in cafe!

Poor - Edit
Visited today on the strength of the happy cow info. Only one vegan option available on the entire menu, a cold falafel, chickpea and sweet potato wrap. We bought chips to go with it. The only vegan cakes available were slices of Lazyday ginger truffle or Belgian tiffin. There were no fresh cakes at all that were vegan and the staff had a poor undertstanding of what veganism is and suggested their gluten free options instead. I can not recommend this at all for vegan eating.

Vegan chocolate available - Edit
Was pleasantly surprised to find reduced moo free Easter eggs and lots of vegan snacks! There was even a vegan curry ready meal in the freezer section.

Dobbies barley have any vegan options. Two types of salads. That’s all. Hash browns are fried in the same oil as the meat. No vegan cakes either 🙁
