Surprisingly good - Edit
Very surprised to find some good and reasonably priced options here, given the captive market!
Read moreMy only couple of negatives would be that, possibly because of our arrival time (got off of our boat tour at 1, so back at the centre by 1:15pm), the wait for hot food was long (30 mins, although you were given a buzzer so at least you could find a seat) and also that, although there were multiple vegan and vegetarian choices, these seemed the most popular so sold out long before the other products! Plenty of good choice, they just need to have more of them available!
In the end, we managed to avoid the hot food wait with a pesto pasta and falafel wrap. Despite the busy-ness, the queue to pay wasn't too long in itself, so we were fed quickly.
In summary - definitely a good range, just needs more to not sell out!

I was very surprised that there were vegan options to choose from. I ordered the quinoa salad and the cinnamon roll and both were good. The salad would have been better if there was some dressing in it. The prices were very reasonable for such a touristic place

Surprised to see so many vegan cabinet options in the middle of milford sound - onviously was expensive as to be expected when you’re in a remote spot so you would be better off bring food with you, but in a pinch could chose from a selection of slices, sandwiches and salads. I just had a coffee and an ice lock which was enjoyed

Unexpectedly good vegan options - Edit
Since we had no idea what to expect in tiny Milford Sound we packed a vegan picnic lunch. Turns out we needn’t have worried as there were so many labeled vegan options available at the one cafe. We decided to add to our lunch by taste testing a few of the vegan options. The spinach and roast beet salad was quite good as was the tomato bean soup. You could definitely make a full and satisfying vegan meal out of their offerings. Nice surprise!
