Delicious - Edit
Lots of great options
Read moreKids menu
Offers dairy and eggs. When I ordered an ice coffee they asked if it was on dairy - this threw me as I then had to confirm the entire menu was vegan (which it is).
Pros: Lots of options, Generous portions, Kids menu
Cons: Now offers dairy milk and eggs , Parking is difficult

The wraps! Chicken wrap was so cheap too. Best tumeric latte I've had in a long time. Disappointed that it's no longer vegan as of recently (maybe 2 months ago)

Our first visit - but the first of many ❤️ - Edit
Having previously enjoyed the New Farm cafe we hoped the Ascot site would be as good. Amazingly (sorry New Farm) it was even better. The lunch menu had a good range of great choices and the 4 of us really enjoyed our meals, drinks and service complimented by the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Looking forward to returning soon. Suggest you give it a try

Definitely going back - Edit
I went here with my brunch and book club today. A total of 15 of us!
Read moreThe first thing that stood out was how friendly and helpful the staff were (especially Justine!) when making the booking earlier in the week. They came up with the idea for two tables, rather than one long table, which worked out really well!
The menu is fully plant-based so I was overwhelmed with options. I settled on the peanut butter smoothie which was thick and creamy and delicious, as well as the waffles which were super soft and decadent.
I’ve uploaded photos of what some of the other members ordered, too. Sounds like everyone enjoyed it just as much as me 😋
Pros: Fully plant-based, Friendly staff, Both indoor + outdoor seating

Quality eats - Edit
The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, I like the tables outside as the traffic isn’t too crazy and Racecourse Rd looks pretty with the fairy lights at night. Easy parking with its own small carpark. Everything we’ve tried here so far has been really tasty. Fresh and clean flavours. My only tiny complaint would be that the menu isn’t super exciting, especially the dinner menu, it’s mostly things that I’d make myself at home. But unlike the other Dicki’s branch at least they are open for dinner, so it’s great to have another option in the area.

Excellent place for coffee, Brekky or lunch! - Edit
I have been here many times and the quality of the food and drinks, the friendliness of the staff and the bright happy atmosphere is se one to none! Recently took my (totally non vegan) Mum here and she was able to get her cows milk coffee (which was a game changer for bringing her here) and she enjoyed the chik’n burger and chips. I love the mufffins, mushrooms and tomato sides and my almost vegan daughter had the breakfast burrito and said it was amazingly delicious!
Read moreWe pick up coffee and muffins here regularly. So happy this place is just down the road! And the food is all home made!
Pros: Totally vegan and extensive menu, Friendly staff, Nice seating areas inside and out
Cons: Large coffees should be larger - they medium, Pretty expensive eg 2 coffees 1 muffin $20

Great variety of vegan food - Edit
We came here with a couple of friends for breakfast. Very impressed. Good variety of all vegan dishes. Nicely presented and good flavours. Friendly service and nice ‘minimalist’ decor. Light and airy place. Scrambled tofu dishes were excellent. The pesto based one was the best. The turmeric scrambled tofu could have had a bit more flavour but only for my individual taste. Nice to have crispy tempeh as a side too.

Cows milk served at ascot - Edit
Really disappointed dickis ascot serves cows milk. We love the new farm restaurant but can’t support a business that advertises as plant based or vegan and serves cows milk.
Read morelianemills
I’m a vegan and see your point but I absolutely love this restaurant and support their use of cows milk. Please understand that if you want to take non vegans there for coffee and lunch they won’t go if cows milk isn’t available. My mum enjoyed her vegan meal there but wouldn’t have come if they didn’t serve cows milk so I get it!! YOU and I don’t have to drink the cows milk! We want these businesses to thrive and it’s a small thing to sacrifice to keep a vegan business going. Hopefully in the future things will be different but until then, if we can, let’s support vegan restaurants in every form they take.
