Delicious vegan mains - Edit
I think this was the best vegan Indian take away I have had. I’ve been looking for a creamy Indian curry made vegan for so long, and never can find that rich creamy flavour that I wanted, but Dhaba have done it! The creamy coconut curry was delish! The eggplant potato curry was also great! I also had the Chinese cauliflower. And a side of rice. These 3 mains altogether were so flavourful and delicious! Will definitely go back and try more next time I’m in Kyneton.

Also my takeaway was ready so fast!
Pros: Delicious vegan options , So flavourful
Cons: The pumpkin in the curry was a bit weird

rich and delicious - fun interior - Edit
I was in Kyneton on a solo mini-break so I ordered takeaway from Dhaba at the Mill but I would’ve been comfy eating in on my own as well. The restaurant had a fun, friendly, family vibe on Sunday night with warm lighting, exposed beams, colourful Bollywood film posters, etc.
Read moreI wanted to try a few dishes so I ordered one entree, two curries, and rice, which was plenty of food for two dinners and I enjoyed the leftovers just as much. The green mango rolls were wrapped in spring roll pastry, crispy but not greasy at all. The filling was fresh, jullienned green mango and other veggies that were pretty salty, served with sweet mango chutney for balance. The butternut coconut curry was very heavy and rich, as others have noted, made with thick coconut cream. Great on a cold winters night, the curry flavour tasted almost floral and fragrant to me. Nice and subtle. I think you can never go wrong as aloo baingan, it’s one of my favourite Indian dishes and theirs was great! Tender chunks of eggplant and potato cooked with onions, tomatoes, ginger and spices, it’s strong flavours cut through the rich coconut of the pumpkin curry. Even the rice rates a mention! Perfect tender grains finished with lemon juice and cumin seeds.
At least one more vegan curry option would great (the two I ordered were the only ones) but I definitely recommend!
