The best vegan restaurant in Winnipeg - Edit
What this place lacks in atmosphere it makes up in quality and options in its food. Every dish I’ve ever had here has always been beyond my expectations. The food is just delectable and there isn’t a long wait. Unfortunately due to the small size of the restaurant, you’re seated close to everyone and can hear every conversation. The staff are very friendly and happy to answer questions. I really recommend it. The mooshi is absolutely amazing! #Veganuary

Pros: Everything is vegan even if it says vegetarian, Vegan wine, Very very friendly staff!
Cons: It’s too quiet. You can hear everyone talking.

So many options and apparently it’s all vegan. Visiting my friends from Vancouver and thoroughly enjoyed. The only thing that’s missing is a bit of MSG… I love eating that science seasoning. we got spicy Szechuan tofu, chicken w black bean sauce, delicious fried rice, Hong Kong chow main, eggplant with pecking sauce and tofu satay. Amazing.

I tried a bunch of dishes from here after hearing so many rave reviews. Unfortunately I didn't really like their food and it was an expensive let down. I found things a bit greasy and soggy. The deep-fried mushrooms with spicy salt were the only saving grace. I'd have those again!

If you crave vegan meat there is better option in town. If you crave Chinese food, I would recommend affinity vegetarian garden over this restaurant. Even pf chang, even though their vegan menu isn’t large at less the options they have on the menu are very good. I bought 3 different meal, I wanted to try as much as I can. I haven’t been impressed. The vegetarian beef has a weird aftertaste, the mock duck contain mushrooms so if you don’t like mushrooms stay away from it. I personally don’t mind mushrooms but I didn’t expect them to be in the mock duck. The wonton soup is fine, but WAY better at the affinity vegetarian garden

My mom and I went to delicious vegetarian today the all vegan Chinese food restaurant msg free for the first time ever for dinner we had mock duck, 2 spring rolls, pu er tea, vegetarian beef with mixed vegetables chow mein in a black bean sauce and mixed vegetable dish in a black bean sauce and a regular order of the friend mushrooms with spicy salt. The restaurant was clean, the decor was nice and the waitress were excellent and attentive and the food was delicious and very tasty and big portions we will definitely be coming back again.

I went there last night with a friend and his family, me and my friend were vegan but the rest of the family was not. Everybody loved it, no matter age, vegan, omnivore, it was just objectively delicious.

Great Vegan food. My wife and I ate there last night. I am Vegan, she is not. We both absolutely loved the meal. Everything was delicious. The service was good and the waitress was very helpful. We had the Vegetarian beef with mixed vegetable chow main and my wife was blown away that the vegetarian beef tasted just like real beef. We will definitely be coming back for more. The deep fried mushrooms were great.

This is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to! My favourite thing on the menu is the deep fried eel (made from mushrooms) in a sweet sauce, you MUST try it. The dessert is really good too! Can't be disappointed here.

We ordered way too much food, but it was worth it. The deep fried noodles were my favourite and I’d also super recommend the pan fried dumplings. But everything was good and the service was fantastic.

Everything at the restaurant is vegan and msg free! I hadn't eaten Chinese food in years, ever since I've been vegan and it was amazing. The employees are very friendly. I've never had vegan meat that tasted/looked so real! Everything's completly authentic to real Chinese food! I recommend the sweet and sour gluten balls!

I swing by occasionally for an order of eggplant in black bean sauce and an order of brown/white rice. It's incredible and I've never been able to find another place that makes it quite as good. I really crave this from time to time .....and then I'm good for another month or two. :)

Really enjoyed the food here! Normally I avoid Asian food because I have a mild soy allergy but the owner was super nice and accommodating. I was super happy to find this place was all vegan and was pleasantly surprised when the food came out. It wasn't your average Americanized Chinese food but it was a yummy mix of vegetables and mushrooms. Will definitely be back for more.

My family tried out this place and we were very disappointed. The food did not taste good at all. I've tried other vegan Chinese food which was very delicious however this is not one of them. I decided to try it again after my first experience and it turned out to be worse than the first time. It reminded me of warmed up frozen food and the taste was not good at all it ended up all being wasted. This place seems to have good reviews and that's why I tried it, but after the experiences I've had I won't go back and I don't recommend it!

One of my favorite places to eat even after all this time. My favorites include spicy fried mushrooms, sweet and sour gluten balls, tofu in peanut sauce, tofu in black bean sauce and spring rolls.

The food and service here and absolutely amazing. I took a "meatie" friend here for lunch once, and upon seeing the name of the restaurant, she almost refused to eat there. I promised her if she hated the food, I'd go to BK with her (UGH). Needless to say, I didn't have to. Try it out and I'm sure you'll be glad you did! (Said friend has since taken her family to this restaurant and they've all enjoyed it as well!)

Maybe we didn't make very good choices, but frankly, we found our food a bit bland - and we even took care to order items that sounded like they'd be spicy! We'll try them again someday and see whether we feel differently.
