Vegan tamales are elusive!

I inquired about their vegan options and they told me they are only available on the weekends so just make sure to call ahead to make sure they have what you want. I bought a half dozen of each tamal they had, everyone in the family was satisfied and they are all traditional Mexicans, I love when a place offers a vegan option it really helps bring ppl and families together.

Tamales were ok

I don't leave alot of bad reviews but these Tamales where small and bland to me the product does not live up to its name sorry. The price was real good though 9 bucks for a dozen and the service was good too.

Pros: Good service and good price

Cons: Small and bland

5/5 best vegan tamales in town

They got the southwest vegetarian which is a black bean and cilantro mix and they also have the sweet tamales, which is cinnamon with walnut and raisins.

Pros: 2 Vegan Tamales, Comes in dozens, So yummy

San Antonio classic

They're literally down the street from me. Before going vegan, they were our go to tamales. The vegan bean tamales are pretty darn good. Very thick masa with a decent portion of beans inside. Before going, call ahead to make sure they have them in stock. They aren't huge sellers from what I gather so they don't have a lot on hand, at least that seems so in my experience.

Still, they are really good tamales with just right (for me) ratio of masa to filling. Price can't be beat.

Pros: cheap, tasty

Cons: limited availability at times
