While businesses are not required to provide gluten free options, if your website and signage openly and proudly claims you have them, having only one option (mac and cheese) isn't really acceptable. Website claimed a few items had gf options; either the site or the employee was incorrect. Also kind of rude, but I get it, service jobs suck.

PLEASE BE AWARE!!!! - Edit
Dee, the owner I’m assuming, is EXTREMELY rude and does not care about the safety of her customers personal payment information.. I had two attempted charges for “Dee’s Vegan To-Go” pop up on my CashApp. I keep this card locked at all times so the transaction was declined. I Google’d the establishment because I was unfamiliar with it, as I live in Florida and evidently this establishment is located in North Carolina. I called and told the lady that several attempts to charge my card were made just moments before my call and I wanted to know if the person was physically there with the card or attempting an online order, she responded by saying she doesn’t know and that has nothing to do with her and I need to contact my bank. While I do know that I would need to contact my card provider and order a new one, if the person that is using a clone of my card is there in person then it would be nice to know so that law enforcement could be contacted and this person could be detained. She again responded by saying that she can’t ask the customers that are standing in front of her if they’re using a stolen credit card.. Lol. While I wouldn’t recommend for her to do that and I’m pretty sure that’s common sense, she could’ve asked what the transaction amount was or asked the customers to see the physical card and a copy of the ID, etc. She didn’t seem too concerned that someone was attempting to use a stolen credit card at her establishment, which if approved, would result in a chargeback to her business once I dispute. Her lack of concern or investigation leads me to believe that it’s possible she KNOWS that stolen credit cards are being used and she’s an active participant in processing those funds. I’ll be making sure that a thorough investigation is done on the fraudulent transaction but also into this establishment as well, seeing as I’ve never met a business owner that is not concerned about chargebacks and the effects of that on their business. If paying, I would suggest cash as the safety of your personal payment information is questionable and there will be absolutely no precautions taken or rectification on behalf of the establishment itself.

BEST vegan spicy chicken sandwich me and my mom have ever had, you know it’s good when it’s messy haha! My mom also got the quarter Lb. burger she says that was the best vegan burger she’s ever had, the fries were nicely seasoned and were crispy, also we shared the breakfast burrito and definitely 11/10, flavor was amazing! prices were a little high but SO worth it, will be coming back next time we come to charlotte! (only got a pic of the burrito bc we saved it and inhaled the rest of the food 😂)

I was in town for work and the vegan junk food options are limited on Mondays so I was happy to find this on doordash. The Carolina chicken sandwich was incredible - very crispy even after the time for delivery. I’ve had better mac and cheese. There wasn’t much sauce, but it was still edible. I’m looking forward to trying more next time.

This is a great little vegan takeout spot. We've grabbed dinner from here several times, and it has never disappointed. The grilled "chicken" salad is perfect if you're in the mood for a light meal, and if you have some hot sauce handy, the "chicken" and waffles are great for something more filling.

My meal was bland, the fries weren't particularly tasty or well salted, and for being a place that's explicitly "to-go", it took longer than I would expect to receive my meal (20 minutes).

Read moreThe fried mushroom burger was excellent albeit super greasy (I mean, you should expect it for being fried) but the fries were so-so, basically just frozen crinkle fries they threw in the oven. The Mac and cheese is okay; they use a penne pasta which is a little off the mark for me and the cheeze sauce is flavorful but a little runny. The cake is delicious but a pretty small slice for the price.
If you don’t want vegan junk food, you can always go to Exposed Vegan which is right next door!!

We are in town for work and ordered Dee's Vegan last night for delivery. We got the chicken and waffles and the jambalaya as well as the chocolate cake and some cookies. The waffle wasn't soggy on arrival! The chicken strips were crispy. It came with a small container of real maple syrup and some delicious spicy mustard. The jambalaya was good too. No complaints, would definitely come back again and try other menu items.

This spot is highly under-rated and I'm not sure why there are not more great reviews.
The mac and cheese is the best vegan mac and cheese that I have had EVER!!! The jambalaya is amazing and flavorful!!! Their desserts....omg 😍🤗 so yummy!!!
