Good option to buy something for your train ride - Edit
Dean & David restaurants are similar everywhere, so I know what to expect, and I was happy to spot one in Hannover Main Station when we had to catch our train in a short time.
Read moreWhile Dean & David isn‘t perfect and rather on the expensive side, I do think it is a good option if you quickly want to buy a vegan meal for a train ride. It is easy to find when you change trains, service is quick and there are several sweet and savory options that are filling, too.

Für den kleinen Hunger zwischendurch - Edit
Wer am Hauptbahnhof was schnelles veganes/vegetarisches für zwischendurch sucht wird hier fündig. Hatte ein Sweet Poteto Sandwich und fand es ganz lecker.

Inside of main train station. Actual food, even though many bowls are pre-packaged to go. Quality is often good. Could easily go full vegan, I don't get it why thy don't. Eight seats (!). Quality can be pretty lame at times. e.g. one some days, the vegan muffin and the coffee are really bad. Also, recently, you get throw-away coffee cups etc. instead of reusable tableware when eating there.

Perfect for a short stay in the main station for changing trains. The food is ok. Green Thai curry wasn't very authentic. Friendly staff.

They only had a minimum of vegan options left and service was very poorly. Staff was clearly annoyed.
Read moreThe salad was okay but not great. A bit dry and even less tasty then the one we got from Me Clou next door. The green smoothie bowl, pre-prepared was not that fresh and started to turn bad after an hour in the train. It was also a small portion.
Would only recommend when there is no other option. Too bad Haverkater was closed.

Wenige Vegane Optionen - Edit
Da der Haferkater leider zu und ich Hunger hatte, habe ich mich bei Dean and David umgesehen. Es gab ein Veganes Sandwich und einen veganen wrap. Beides sah sehr uninspiriert und mau belegt aus. Ich nahm den Wrap für 3,95€. Satt gemacht hat er nicht. Viel kleiner als die bei Haferkater. Außer Salat nur ein Esslöffel Bulgur, 1 Weintraube, 1 Walnuss und 1 Stück Rote Beete. Keine Spir von Soße oder Salz. Reinfall!

Vegan take away food - Edit
Compared to other shops in the station they offer a large choice of vegan options, which are clearly labeled. Good place to buy food for your train ride (sandwich, salad, Chia pudding, cake, fruits, Smoothies...). I tried the grilled vegan sandwich, which was ok and an apple pie, which was very good. Food is a bit overpriced.
