Better visit EkoPlaza - Edit
I was so excited moving to Leiden to try the organic supermarkets but I have to admit, De Zaailing completely disappointed me. There are hardly any products you can’t also find in organic stores, they sell ‘discounted products’ which can be expired for up to one year, so be very aware of that! Lack of vegan cheese etc. was a disappointment. Overall I think next time I will just go to EkoPlaza.

Good bio shop - Edit
Good shop. The "dairy" department is a bit small, but I like the good amount of product they have. Friendly personel. Unfortunately not a lot of choice in dairy products

I go here regularly, stocking up on beans, grains, and whole wheat pizza crusts and pasta. Fantastic bread counter in the back, where they make breads from all sorts of grains, such as millet.
Read moreThere's always enough staff around to help with your questions, and the people at the checkout counter are so happy and cheerful (quite rare in the netherlands!). Prices are reasonable.
Pros: aroma of fresh bread, reasonable prices, friendly staff
