I had a really great milkshake and we could take some cake to go. The service was great, very friendly and we could communicate in English. WLAN could be a bit faster.

I ordered a salad with a slightly sweet interesting take on falafel balls, fresh leafy iceburg with attention to quality and a very palatable passion fruit sauce. My lunch consisted of flautas which were not deep fried but graciously lightly wrapped around an invincible pepper-mushroom filling with spicy chili verde. The pie de la pecana con helgada was a strong finish to this knockout meal.

Estelar Vegan Cafe en Amon, encuentra este super encantador vegano de propiedad y operación vegana de tres pisos a la vuelta de la esquina del Zoológico y Jardín Botánico Simón Bolívar.
Un montón de productos frescos y deliciosos sabores y dulces caseros sazonados hacen de esta mi comida favorita en Costa Rica hasta la fecha.
Pedí una ensalada con una interesante versión ligeramente dulce de bolas de falafel, iceburg de hojas frescas con atención a la calidad y una salsa de maracuyá muy apetecible. Mi almuerzo consistió en flautas que no estaban fritas, sino que estaban graciosamente envueltas alrededor de un invencible relleno de champiñones y pimienta con chile verde picante. El pie de la pecana con helgada fue un buen final para esta comida espectacular.
Absolutely satisfied.

De Aca makes an effort to offer a unique variety of dishes. Everyone can definitely find a delicious dish on the menu. The dishes are creative and go above and beyond the standard meals offered in most reataurants, like e.g. the tuna tartar made from watermelon or the Flautas filling made from shitake stems. They also have a variety of amazing looking cakes that taste nice but are also quite rich - best to share a piece. The staff is very friendly and fast. We highly recommend a visit there.

Visited twice. Great food and good service. Spoke to friendly owner. Hablan bien inglés. Tried 3 different dishes (all very good): Tacos, Chapula, Grilled cheese w/avacado & Burger. The iced coffee drinks are wonderful, smoothy good and the cookies cream milkshake was very good. Very pleasant setting. Thank you HappyCow for making it possible to find it.

My husband and I had a delightful experience here. The menu is quite diverse with lots of Latin dishes presented in a very artful manner. The food was delicious and we plan to go back in a couple weeks when we end our trip in San Jose. The service was excellent and staff very pleasant.

I came here tons of time when I lived in San José and always had pleasant staff, but when I went at the end of 2020 the staff was incredibly rude. It made me never want to go back. Hopefully it was just an off day, because otherwise this place is amazing.

I ordered a big salad, a juice and an entree and a milkshake; everything was okay. My waiter was great. It wasn’t until I ordered dessert (Oreo milkshake) and it seemed as though they mixed the Oreos with water. It had a watery consistency and texture, with no flavor. So I expressed that to my waiter and she had no problem. I go down to pay and the owner of the restaurant is checking me out. She was extremely rude and refused that I pay for the milkshake. Mind you the milkshake is 8-$9 and It was horrible (I hadn’t drank any) she had a very nasty, condescending attitude and I instantly regretted supporting her business and spending almost 40$. She didn’t try to accommodate by any means. Horrible customer service. The foods mediocre and the owner needs training. Wouldn’t recommend.

It kinda seems like the owner isnt even Vegan. Lots of vegan restaurant owners here in Puerto🇵🇷Rico, arent either. It is awesome the vegan restaurants exists, but they mostly do it for profit. Not because they are Vegan themselves & actually care about the animals & also care about giving a good customer service to those that eat here because they care about non-human animals.
