Try the tempeh! - Edit
Dapurmas always has a good number of (unlabelled) vegetarian/vegan options, but you need to discern which options are suitable as the selection changes daily. There’s always at least two or three plain vegetable dishes (e.g. greens, aubergines, beansprouts), as well as some vegetable dishes containing tofu or tempeh (or sometimes egg - take care/ask if you’re not sure). Kay, the owner/manager is very helpful and will tell you if a dish contains any meat/egg/fish etc. The tempeh sambal contains no seafood/belachan and it’s really good! There’s always a tofu and/or tempeh option. Sometimes there are vegetarian curries made with coconut milk.
Read moreA plate of rice plus three other items from the selection costs RM5 (if all vegetarian/vegan). I like that you serve yourself.
Some of the desserts/snacks are occasionally vegan too, such as the curry puffs or kuih e.g. ondeh ondeh.
Pros: Decent variety of veg options, Tempeh!, Occasional vegan desserts like ondeh ondeh
Cons: Serves meat so vegans need to check what’s SFV, No labels - need to ask
