Stinky tofu spot😄

淡水素食好食寨清蒸臭豆腐 is their name, they are famous with their steamed stinky tofu😄most of the stinky tofu at night market you can find is always de fried , this one has the steam one😄a lot more healthier and yummy😄their tofu is handmade and home made😄

Stinky tofu and the cold noodle dish was what I grew up with😄cold noodle for breakfast and stinky tofu for dinner😄

Amazing find in seafood/meat-heavy Damsui!

We came to this area to sightsee along the river, but there wasn't much to eat along the way. The street food vendors mostly sell various meats and seafoods (with the occasional fried mushroom or tornado potato skewer).

Imagine our pleasant surprise when we stumbled upon this all-vegan restaurant selling traditional Taiwanese eats, like wontons in hot sauce and, mushroom "beef" noodle soups, and curry rices. The owner hand-makes everything and the food is tasty and affordable.

Beware that they don't speak English, but there is a picture menu on one of the tables inside that will let you see what's what.

In particular, be sure to try the wontons!

不錯的一間(蔬)素食館

這是位於淡水徒步區過了一個小型圓環就會看到招牌,餐點口味獨特,品項多種選擇,有名蒸餃清爽可口,臭豆腐飯口味也不錯。

Nice simple menu.

Was a small joint, minimal menu, but was good. No English FYI

Pros: Lots vegan options

Cons: Needs more sauces

Unfortunate

Was here July 2019. Saw this place listed on happycow and gave it a try. Here's my Danshui Hao Shi Zai review. The signage is pretty clear from the outside (in Chinese). The menu is post out front as well in print. When we arrived an older woman came out to ask if we wanted to order food. We asked to look at the menu. Within a minute she demanded to know if we wanted to order food or not, but we weren't ready. She looked rather angry and started arranging chairs noisily as if she wanted us to leave. She came over once again to ask in a barking way if we wanted to order food. We felt intimidated by her, gathered our belongings, and just walked out.
